First is the cost. $60/month if you include "fall detection". I had a fall alert once sitting very still in a chair, and another lying in bed. Next, the device needs to be charged every other day. Finally the annoying green light, that if you lie on your side, intermittently blinks in your face. The only reason I got this was to satisfy my daughter since I live alone. I think my Apple Watch does just as well. If you need this, just move to assisted living.

I was a Medical Guardian user for multiple loved ones for years. Most recently I ordered a MG unit for a brother who did not use it long before going to the nursing home. Less than a year later, when I needed the unit for another loved one, they said the practically new unit could not be reused. It would only be able to be transferred within 30 days. Really? What a scam. So you want me to buy another unit which is exactly the same? Shame. And, 30 days? What, we all have loved ones hanging around waiting until the first person cannot use theirs within the month? Another company preying on the elderly and infirm. Well, you lost three subscribers and any future ones from my care.

I have paid for Medical Guardian for 7 to 8 years for my elderly mother. Renewing was always easy, with a discount if i paid for a full year. I called to cancel the service and was met with a different response. The call center wanted to know why I was canceling. I said I no longer needed the service. He said he needed a better answer, had my mother passed away or put into an assisted living home. He said it would be handled differently based on how I answered. I said I was not going to answer personal questions, and felt I needed to answer a certain why to cancel. So unprofessional. I said I just wanted to cancel and he said that was not an answer he could accept, wow. The reviews for this company are fake. Do not use this company, period.

I feel safe wearing it i only wish battery lasted longer. Customer Service is very good and helpful.

Mom fell twice and even ended up in the hospital and alert never went off. They were not helpful addressing the issue but we continued service for her peace of mind. When Mom moved to Senior Living, we discontinued service. They said we would continue to be charged u til equipment was returned. I paid extra for quick delivery and tracking information and called immediately when I saw it was delivered. They said we would still continue to be charged for up to a week until they could process the return. Then, unbeknownst to us, the refunded amount was even lower because there is a $50 restocking fee. Everything about their process to stop service is unacceptable and goes against their supposed promise of canceling anytime! Buyer beware! I would NOT recommend Medical Guardian to anyone and given their business practices, question the validity of positive reviews!

After quite a bit of research, we purchased the MG Flex device for our mom. Customer service was responsive and helpful (if a tad too scripted). Shipping, activation, and testing all good. The package included two different wrist bands (velcro and silicone) and two pendant length options with magnetic clasps. The only flag for seniors with vision issues or loss of fine motor skills is the device connector(s) to the band or pendant. The silver button(s) to press that retract the tiny pins for inserting into either side of the device are small, narrow, and a bit fussy. Hard to hold the device steady and not risk pushing the alert button. Very frustrating for our mom, and pretty much negated the flexibility of wearing the device in more than one way. The velcro band would also work better if the internal side was a different color than the external side. This would make removal and reattachment clearer and easier.

I have not had to use your service for any kind of an emergency but I do feel safe having it if I ever need to use it.

This device and its ease of use has given my 85 year old mother the ability to live independently. She feels safe and supported, knowing help is at her fingertips!
