I was a Medical Guardian user for multiple loved ones for years. Most recently I ordered a MG unit for a brother who did not use it long before going to the nursing home. Less than a year later, when I needed the unit for another loved one, they said the practically new unit could not be reused. It would only be able to be transferred within 30 days. Really? What a scam. So you want me to buy another unit which is exactly the same? Shame. And, 30 days? What, we all have loved ones hanging around waiting until the first person cannot use theirs within the month? Another company preying on the elderly and infirm. Well, you lost three subscribers and any future ones from my care.

Setup went well, and periodic tests seem to work okay - however, it can take about 5 minutes to get a response. A bigger concern is that the battery in my mother's pendant died. There's no way for users to replace the battery, so the the company has to send us a new one. We've had to call multiple times, and after 3 weeks the replacement still hasn't arrived. It doesn't matter how good their services are if the life-saving button doesn't work.

One issue I have is that I am paying for fall detection. So far, you haven't been able to detect one time that I have fallen. The second I have is that when I have pressed the alarm button, I am connected to one person and then I am transferred to the dispatch center. That seems to take extra time. They also ask if they should contact any of my contacts and I tell them no, only the Fire Department for pick-up service. They contact each of them anyway. Why do they do that?

I’ve fallen several times & it was not detected however when I tak ed off the device & set it down it detects a fall.

I did not like that the man I spoke with appeared to not be concerned with my device not being functional. It seemed as though he could do nothing because Verizon was having a problem. I said I never had this problem until my device was changed to Verizon and asked if he could change it back. There was no response to that. Every other interaction I’ve had with personnel has been excellent!

We paid $25 extra for 2 day delivery on a Thursday before 4:00pm on Friday at 5pm we are notified it will be delivered on Tuesday. That is not a 2 day delivery especially when I asked Michael the sales guy if they would be delivering on the weekend and the answer was yes. I tried calling customer service and after 15 minutes holding no answer. I see Amazon has the exact same thing I ordered that can be delivered on Sunday! Only 24 hours in and I am ready to go with another company!

I don't like the size of the blinking light. It shows through my clothes drawing the attention of many (especially kids who comment on it.) This is even though I wear it with the light facing my body. I also don't like being without it while it is charging.
