SCAM - AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Madison Seating took my money and I received nothing! We are a small firm, and I splurged on seven Aeron chairs for our team. After waiting nearly two months, I was told the chairs were delivered - but they weren't. The office was fully staffed, including myself, when the chairs were supposedly delivered. We would certainly have noticed if seven chairs had arrived. A review of the building's security footage shows no deliveries at the time. Madison refuses to issue a refund, send additional chairs, or cooperate with FedEx's investigation. They won't even take my call as calls are only for new customers. Madison's rude and nameless e-mail responder (the only communication possible) has given multiple contradictory responses, including that since FedEx said marked the packages as delivered, they are prevented from filing a claim. Interestingly, I was able to file a claim - but FedEx keeps telling me to have the shipper, Madison, contact them. But FedEx did tell me that Madison only tendered four boxes (one per chair) - not the seven they told me. FedEx is now trying to track down what happened to the other chairs. AVOID AT ALL COSTS - Don't let this happen to you. UPDATE: Four of the seven chairs finally arrived. As Madison Seating would not cooperate, it took many calls to FedEx to get someone senior enough to approve an exception and trace the shipment without the shipper's approval. They went to the wrong address. Three chairs are still missing. FedEx says they were never tendered to FedEx. I was suspicious of the chairs and asked a Herman Miller rep to look at the four that arrived. Apparently, the Herman Miller rep believes they are a refurbished version of the Aeron chair model that was discontinued in 2004 -- 18 years ago! Update 2: I disputed the charge with my credit card company. Suddenly Madison Seating started taking my firm's phone calls and agreed to refund me for the three chairs that never arrived. I also received documentation from FedEx that Madison never shipped the three chairs. It's still unclear 1) Why did Madison only ship four chairs when I paid for seven chairs; 2) Why did they refuse to cooperate with FedEx's investigation; and 3) Why does Madison Seating sell 18+ year-old refurbished chairs without disclosing they are used and very old. If I hadn't disputed the charge with my credit card company, I would have been out of luck. Life is too short to do business with such a morally bankrupt company. The state attorney general should shut the firm down.

This reviewer keeps changing his story. First he claimed he received no shipment and accused our company of conspiring with Fedex. When we were able to prove the delivery was made, the reviewer finally admitted he did get the delivery but then claimed items were missing. We offered to come to his location to pick up everything he received at our cost and provide a full refund for the purchase, but the buyer stopped answering our emails and phone calls. If there is any company to avoid, it would be the company he runs as he must be duping his clients in the same manner.
