Had a NeuroPsych evaluation almost 4 months ago and STILL have not received the report. The Psychologist was super rude, dismissive, condescending, and definitely did not choose a battery of tests tlthat was based on my presenting problems. So unbelievably unprofessional. When I messaged the Psychologist directly to ask about the report, I was told "You will get an email when it is uploaded to the patient portal." Still waiting...

Completely frustrating failure
Could not even get my son to a video appointment because they required him to log on to a patient portal that didn't work well -- password problems then had to fill out five forms and the first one didn't work. Frustration is not what people with mental problems need. Called -- couldn't help and he never could get to his appointment. Forget this company.

Patient abandoment
Patient abandoment. Patient on kpin for 13 years between this dr and another Dr. Tovar cut me off cold turkey and didn't care how bad the withdrawls were. Never Sen referral to another psychiatrist or anything. Didn't have the balls to dump me himself had his secretary do it 30 minutes before I had an appointment with him

Terrible customer service
If I could give this a company a zero I would. My provider is great, but when they transitioned to Lifestance everything fell apart. The portal was impossible to use, messages were not returned or just returned with a standard response. Phone calls went unanswered or unreturned. They last customer service agent hung up on me.

Charged my debit card before even…
Charged my debit card before even attempting to send the bill to my insurance company. Still waiting on a refund, I would strongly advise doing business with them.

Lifestance Corporation is AWFUL
I worked with the wonderful providers at what used to be Beaumont Behavioral Health in Lexington, KY for a few years prior to being bought by Lifestance. The providers that have stuck around are still great, the office staff are very helpful, but good GOD is Lifestance TERRIBLE at all other functions of mental healthcare.
First off, when my practitioner who manages my medication left the company for greener pastures (by the grace of God go you Jared), the company did nothing to notify me or ensure my medication was continued. Come two days before the weekend and I call to check to see that a refill was sent for my generic 15mg Adderall [if you have a script for Adderall of any dose, it can only be given out in 30-day supply and you have to jump through MANY hoops to get it, including an annual drug test and a Lifestance-specific policy of appointments every two months without exception].
Come to find that my provider had left the practice a few weeks prior, nobody had told me, and no effort was made to continue my medication management through a new provider at Lifestance.
After a brief panic and understandably frustrated phone call or two, I was paired with a practitioner who was on vacation until the following Wednesday. My script(s) needed to be refilled by the end of that day, so this was again completely useless to me. So after some more frustrated phone calls they paired me with another who was actually present, got my refill(s) sent, and though my medication lapsed that weekend (making for a few FUN DAYS let me tell you) I eventually got my refills on Monday and was able to get back on like normal. This was then followed by even more shifting of my practitioner until I landed with my current one.
That last shift was necessary because, apparently, they had assigned me to a practitioner who WASNT TAKING NEW PATIENTS. This meant I couldn't actually be her patient, she left the practice shortly after returning from vacation. This is a common trend among Lifestance-owned clinics; they hemorrhage providers constantly due to the terrible policies and management. They take great clinics and ruin them, make providers' jobs more difficult, and challenge the entire point of being a mental healthcare provider.
BUT I digress.
After working with my practitioner for a while, making improvements and having my medication managed with minor hiccups, there was a payment issue I experienced. In October of 2022 I utilized my FSA to pay for my appointment costs at their clinics - it totaled around $300, somehow. But due to the way they handle charges, it resulted in the charges coming through more than once, so they took nearly $300 from me, then did it again and my FSA locked my card. After speaking with my FSA company about it, they explained that the charges were covered once but the second time they weren't, so until the money was paid back to the flex card it would remain locked. I was informed I can get itemized receipts for other medical expenses that qualify for the FSA and submit those for reimbursement. That reimbursement would then be used to pay down the nearly $300 outstanding on the FSA so I could unlock the card an use it again.
It has been over 6 months since that began and I am still fighting with Lifestance JUST TO GET THEM TO SEND ME ITEMIZED RECEIPTS. NOTHING ELSE.
Only once on the phone with them today did they determine my chart on their side was messed up somehow because there were two of me (despite having a very unique name), leading to paperwork being sent to the wrong chart. This took them almost a year to figure out as this is what caused some of my original practitioner/medication issues the year prior. Shoutout to Brittany with their billing dept for figuring it out today and getting it fixed - a genuinely good help.
I've moved to a new practitioner for therapy and medication management and don't experience a TENTH of the headaches Lifestance caused me.
If you want good mental healthcare, seek out a different clinic. If Lifestance is for some reason the only option where you're located; you're better off burying your head in the sand.
If you want to complain to Lifestance about your experience, good luck, their corporate line goes to a voicemail they never check. I left a voicemail with callback info over a year ago and haven't received so much as an acknowledgement it even got to them.
Lifestance is a joke that cares more about shareholder value than mental healthcare. Just ask their 2022 CEO Ken Burdick, quoted below from their 2022 Q4 earnings report;
"Our focus remains on streamlining and standardizing our business over the next two years, which will pave the way for profitable and sustainable growth, and long-term value creation for our shareholders.”
EDIT: Their reply is PR garbage. I called corporate months ago, 0 response.

Patricia "supervisor" suggested I try suicide
Patricia ... after hours "help" supervisor suggested I try suicide as opposed to any other solution. Wouldn't listen to my concern and talked over me. No care whatsoever for anyone because she was so bothered by a caller with a concern.
