When your therapist refers you out without notice....
RE: Lifestance Health in Arnold, MD: So this just happened. I waited a long time for an in-person appt with Dr. Akira Otani. and today was finally my appt at 2:00. I get there, and the Secretary tells me "Oh I left you a voice mail telling you that the Dr. referred you to someone else." First, there was NO VOICEMAIL, (she did apologize for that), no cancellation, no notice..But I did get 3 messages on my cell to CONFIRM this appointment, which I did. if I did that, I would be charged a fee. That was very hurtful to me and so very unprofessional to say the least. You take someone seeking help, and than reject them at the very hour of your appointment. I'm disappointed, hurt and Dr. Otani, I had high expectations of you, I was wrong. And to leave the difficult task of telling me this shocking news by your office staff, that was poor.
