The people are great, easy to find a therapist. However, my appts are on mondays and their cancellation policy is 48 business hours which is pretty lame. If I cancel 3 days before my appt, I get slammed with a late fee. I called to contest it, but no one has gotten back to me and whoever I talked to on the phone was no help. They told me someone would call in a few days and its been weeks. So, major points off for that. Would have been full stars if not for that.

The therapist was awesome and has been a great help. However, when i called to leave her a message they wanted me to choose who I would be voting for. Since I didn't answer the survey the system hung up. This is not acceptable. I had to call back. Im done with Life Stanz. None of their business who I would vote for.

Lifestance has a lot of issues administratively. Their website is not user-friendly, patient portal is cumbersome and it's difficult to get much done there. Patient Portal doesn't have access to a lot of information that other patient portals like mychart offer, for instance. So it all comes to down making phone calls, which have varying levels of effectiveness. Other administrative issues that have been problematic are having my labs faxed to the lab of my choice rather than the one they use. It took 3 phone calls, and finally they had to email the lab order to me so that I could fax it to my lab. It's clear that the doctors are contracted, which is ok, but it's not easy to discern if a doctor is a good match until you've already wasted several sessions (and insurance payments) before you realize that the doctor you're using isn't working for you. Early on, I had a psychiatric emergency on a Friday afternoon. I needed clarification on a new medication I had been prescribed. I couldn't reach my new psychiatrist through the patient portal. There was no direct email or phone number to her. And when I called the main office, I found that they close early on Fridays. I was in crisis and couldn't find any source of help. When my crisis was resolved, it occurred to me that there wasn't even a mental health crisis phone number on their website home page! They are a mental health care provider that isn't available in the evenings or on weekends, have no emergency or on-call options, but can't even have crisis information on their website! I found that to be very irresponsible. Generally speaking, the office staff that I have spoken to were friendly, but some were more knowledgeable than others. It's kind of hit or miss. I have since switched my therapist and psychiatrist and am now happy with my care, otherwise I would look for a different company.

Billing is problematic - im not allowed to access my virtual appointment w my provider unless whole balance is paid which has been incorrect.

Always a connection problem when I click on the link! ALWAYS and my therapist never rescheduled my appointment, which was disappointing!

I have had to pay $250 dollars in the last 2 months. Before I started seeing Patrick Whitfield, I only paid $40 in almost 2 years. My insurance hasn't changed from the time I started using Lifestance. The last person I saw at the Faber Place location was very nice and informative. She was also very surprised at the amount of money spent.

The clinician I saw was solid, but this service is super annoying in other ways. They have a patient portal and email and text you about appointments, yet don't let you cancel or move an appointment online, by email, or by text. I was traveling internationally and unable to call, so I had no way of moving my appointment 48+ hours in advance. I called Monday morning when I had service, over 24 hours in advance and they said ther was a $150 (!!!!) fee for cancelling <48 hours in advance. This feels punitive. Make it easier to cancel online and/or have a less insane policy ($50 for cancelling <24 hours in advance seems much more standard to me). I also had to have an unnecessarily long phone call to discuss this (15+ min and they could still not confirm whether or not they could waive the fee)

I originally had an "in person" appointment with my physician. However, someone in his administration changed my appt to another day that he only did telehealth WITHOUT my knowledge or the physician's approval !! I had to get my grandson to come to my home for assistance to log on. I am almost 81 years old & in poor health. That was very stressful ! My physician is wonderful, but the administration team needs improvement !!
