The therapist made medically unsound…
The therapist made medically unsound statements and when I complained to headquarters, the director brushed It off. Further, it is normal for them to waste the time by measuring and weighing the patient in the office. They don't use medical records. They don't use previous therapist records. They should be using these things as well as asking clarifying questions to their new patient. Otherwise it will take months before they will be ready to make a recommendation for medication. Meanwhile people have been waiting months for the proper Pharmaceutical and their primary care doctor is assuming that the psychiatrists know what they're doing, and will work in conjunction. People want a cautious psychiatrist, but not one who is so fearful that they don't dare make a move. It should be more about the patient instead of the paranoia about the possibilityof their license coming to question. Further, most of these folks are not psychiatrists, they're nurses with crash courses to become psychiatrists. At best they are regurgitating " knowledge. " You know it's bad when the interaction with the director was even worse than your experience with the"psychiatrist. "
