The collar does not hold a charge well. When my dog reaches the boundary perimeter (GPS fence), it has little effect on her. The area in which we live does not have the best wi-fi service and it Halo Collar would do best for their perspective customers to make this known. The better the wi-fi service in your area greatly impacts the effectiveness of the collar. Update: Our dog ventures beyond the boundaries set for the fence and was not impacted in any way for doing so. We live close to a highway and do not want to risk loss our dog by relying on something that doesn’t work. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS COLLAR! A lot of money for something that doesn’t live up to what is advertised.

It’s a great concept and works pretty well most of the time. However, boundary feedback can be a bit slow (delayed) and some days the GPS location is erroneous all day! Tech tips are available but it is time-consuming to calibrate and/reset the collar. Also, it doesn’t work too well in the rural areas where WiFi and cell phone coverage isn’t robust, and people in urban areas generally do not have properties large enough for it to work (given the boundary buffer and error margin). Also, it would be helpful to have a controller in addition to the ap so that friends/neighbors/kids who are occasionally caring for the pet can change settings.

Collar boundaries are not accurate. Collar warns and provides a signal inside set boundaries at some points and does not warn or signal until 30 seconds later when past other boundaries.

The collar functions well once you get it set up but the customer support is terrible. Email is a problem and all you get is an auto reply acknowledgment of your email. I have tried to cancel the $43 monthly subscription numerous times per their instructions and I keep getting charged. AVIOD THIS COMPANY!

Do not waste your money or your time!!! Sent me one devictive collar then a second devictive collar which my dog almost got hit by a car. No one answers the number for them and 10 days later iam still waiting for a credit on my card!!! Get a electronic fence!!

Great Idea. Horrible!!!! Horrible!!! Product. My dogs have constantly gotten warnings and shocks and they are right next to me well inside the gps fence!! This has happened after resetting the fence and gps signals many times with help from Halo techs. Even at different locations. This product is simply not ready for the market! If you buy this product after reading this it can only mean you do not like your dogs. Cesar Milan should be ashamed of associating his name with this product. It will make your dog neurotic!!

The collar was consistantly off on location and shocked my dog several times while inside our house. I emailed the Halo to return the collar after the first month and they talked me into "troubleshooting" the collar several times over the next two months. We even tried to exchance the collar for a new one and it still didn't work. Then they won't take the collar back after 60 days. They don't stand behind the product.

First collar I had, the battery got insanely hot and burned my hand. A replacement was sent. It would go off inside the “fence” boundaries. I called and emailed numerous times to get a refund and was continuously told I was out of the refund window. It was not worth the $700 or the continual subscription cost. Severely disappointed.
