Garbage! I cancelled my private training sessions because of issues with my neck and shoulders. Covid hit and here in CA (this is the Elk Grove Crunch) we were back on mask mandates. They didn't tell me that the fees would start again even though I wasn't working with a personal trainer. They billed me 600.00! I complained and they said, sorry you need a note from a doctor, I went to the doctor got a note and they said, nah, company policy no refunds. This place is a rip off, crappy outdated equipment, filthy locker rooms and a bunch of no-nothing trainers who cause more injury than they did help. Crunch is the sound you shoes make when you walk through the locker rooms, disgusting! Stay away, they will lie to you, hide their fees and policies and rip you off.

Crunch St. Pete: An environment to express physical success. Full facilities, vibrant trainers, a multiplicity of classes. Here, once you commit yourself to becoming better...you do!!!

The crunch I joined was in Waco Texas, when I joined the first thing they said before I had worked out the first day was I would be charged an equipment charge immediately up to $100.00 to maintain their equipment, my feeling on this is that a person should be charged a monthly fee but not an equipment fee before he has even used thier equipment less than a year. Next they didnt want a credit card for monthly payments but the actual bank account routing and account number which made me feel uneasy but the guy was very persuasive so I reluctantly gave it to him then I was told I couldnt use a certain part of the gym which was never in the contract and didnt know why, later they closed off another part of the gym for a few months, finally when I discovered I was having to schedule my workouts around thier gym and thier convenience when it should be the other way around and for the customers convenience which is why the customer pays in the first place I cancelled my contract. Low and behold I discovered why they wanted my bank account and routing number, after looking at alot of reveiws on several different websites I discovered they were still billing people saying they didnt give a 30 days notice and their contract was still valid and forcing the previous customers money out of their customers account. This caused some to close thier bank accounts or having the inconvenience of having to go to thier banks and change thier accounts altogether, then they were apparently sending thier previous customers to a collection agency trying to ruin that customers credit. Fortunately I managed before I cancelled to have a personal aquaintance erase my bank info and gave them a credit card number to replace it so when I made my payments before I cancelled it went through the cc and not directly out of my bank acct routing number and account so they couldnt keep charging me. but they did give me the speal about giving 30 days notice or the contract wouldnt be cancelled dispite me telling them I wanted to cancel in person and before my next billing cycle came up so I would have to pay an additional charge they did anyways. I was sorely tempted to have my bank get my money back for me but discovered they did ask for a 30 day notice in the contract so honored the last payment. I also notice that you cant pay online and when you pay through a cc they charge an additional fee. When you call for help the phone rings and rings and you are transfered to a voicemail. It was very apparent that they just want peoples money but not the people. I will never go back to a crunch as long as I live for how they treated me and the inconvenience of not getting what I paid for. It has been my experience when a business treats the customers right they will get a long paying and happy customer but when businesses are greedy and treat thier customers this poorly the businesses dont usually last to long.

Dirty bathroom. Machines broken for more than a year. General Manager doesn't address reported problem areas but says "we'll take care of it."

This gym has only been open 4 months and is dirty and disgusting. The drinking fountain is brown and nasty from not being cleaned. I took a picture of the cleaning schedule on a clipboard in the men locker room... it was dated 3 weeks ago and not filled out at all.

After being a member for four years, all of which I paid for personal training, they screwed me. I emailed saying I was moving and want to cancel, they confirmed. 30 days later they charge me over $500 saying I never explicitly wrote I ALSO want to cancel my personal training (but for some reason the first month after that email I wasn't charged for). They will try to squeeze you on technicalities. Go to small gyms, avoid the chains. Especially avoid Crunch.

Not even a member yet and they are scamming me! Received this promo flyer for $1 to join good for the month of February 2022. Went to the gym which is .5 mile from my house and manager new nothing of it. Said it was probably fir online, however I brought it up that there was no code to use. Tried to chat online, but was directed to a payment page by a robot customer service thing. What a shame, guess I will be going back to youfit at lest they have intelligent staff and everything is upfront
