Awful. Went as a guest, forced me to sign in with my personal e-mail and phone number, then signed me up to 10+ mailing lists.
Dearborn, MI branch has no limit of persons per station, in a community with tons of powerlifting wannabes. Groups of 4-8 constantly hogging the benches and racks on rotation for hours at a time, leaving their equipment all over the stations in a literal campout. Their girlfriends lounging on the stations next to them without a single use.
I will not only never be coming back, but recommending everyone keep away. Heaven HELP the corporate office if I start getting spam from Crunch or affiliates. The BBB will be the next follow-up if so.

Beware
Beware. If you make any changes to your account be sure to get proof of change at that time. I had an account that was forwarded over and grandfathered when Crunch bought out the previous owner. All was good for a couple years. I added my wife to the account, no problem.
When I wanted to remove my wife from the account for lack of use is when it became a problem. It took almost 3 weeks to get to the proper person that could actually take care of that process, it took 2 minutes to add her.
So she was removed and I was assured that the rate would revert back to my single rate.
About 3 weeks later I received a call that asked why I had cancelled my membership keep in mind I had been using it 3-5 times a week.
On my next visit I met with the caller and he informed me that they had accidently cancelled the entire account and he would address the problem.
In the meantime I continued to attend the gym. After a couple weeks I made contact with a New manager and he would check into it.
He did and the results were alarming, I was told because I cancelled my Grandfathered contract I would need to sign a new Crunch contract for a activation fee and an increase in monthly dues.
How convenient, their error at my expense.Needless to Say I left them my membership card.
Their reply. SORRY, which perfectly describes their business model

Kenwood Cincinnati location is quite…
KENWOOD LOCATION. Exerciser beware. Nice looking place, our family joined 2 months ago. not once has the equipment been clean, no sanitizer, no towels to wipe the equipment no wipes. I tried today to clean my machine and couldnot find towels, then was told the manager was fired and no one knew whose responsibility it is. I asked to talk to owner, was told by employee that "I don't even know who the owners are" OMG really? ^ persons stopped their workouts and only 5 wiped off their sweat from the machine in front of me. GERM HEAVEN.

Crunch WILL STEAL money directly out of…
Crunch WILL STEAL money directly out of your bank account after neglecting to inform you that your credit card on file has expired or payments were denied (how am I supposed to know to fix the issue/card on file if I am NEVER TOLD THERE IS ANYTHING WRONG) and then magically appearing years later demanding all of the months of missed payment to be paid in full. DO NOT USE CRUNCH. THEY ARE THIEVES.

This place has many scams hidden inside…
This place has many scams hidden inside their contract, sign if you dare!
I went to this gym for a bit then moved and forgot to cancel before I left. being a very busy person, I just allowed the payments to tick for a couple months intending on making time to go cancel, but when I had to replace my card the payments to crunch obviously stopped and I assumed that was the end of it considering I was no longer going to that gym (you cant even get in if you don't pay) so it's not like im using their service (the gym) for free and no longer getting charged. But now half a year later I get my first call from them about this situation, didn't call me the first time they couldn't complete the payment or anything, threatening to send the back payments to collection unless I come in and pay today, and if I come pay today I only have to pay "half". So while I am like, why would I pay for a service I never used? I called to pay the bill because, sis doesn't want her credit ruined by a gym scamming her. How do I owe money to a gym I haven't walked into for over a year? Because in my mind the way paying a business works is they give you a service and you pay for it... what am i paying for with these back payments? Nothing because I never used the gym during that time and it's not like you can sneak in without having a paid current account. Anyways, I called thinking I owe the amount of the membership for the months my card couldnt be charged, but they had doubled the amount of money I would owe if that were the case. So I ask why the number is so large, the employee tells me that they are "late fees"? late fees? ITS A GYM NOT A BLOCKBUSTER OR A LIBRARY! WHAT IS THE SERVICE THAT AM BEING GIVEN THIS ENTIRE TIME THAT I AM NOT PAYING FOR THAT MAKES ME OWE YOU BACK FEES AND LATE FEES? These people called me, first I ever hear of this situation, and threaten me with collection, but if i paid today they'd only charge half of what I owe? There is another scam right there because making it sound like a deal telling me "youll only have to pay half of what you owe" well that "half" is LATE FEES... so your "deal" is waving the late fees for a service I never got. So then the employee gets mad at me, because I am upset I am being scammed and kept mentioning it's a scam. So he decided he would go off on me about the contract and how it can't be a scam if it's hidden within a contract. But to me thats the definition of a scam and you're just creating loopholes to make a clear scam, legal. I have many other subscriptions and when my card changes, I simply did not receive the subscription service until I paid again and added a valid card.
I could completely understand if my card never changed and I was to keep just paying for the membership forgetting to cancel it, since they make you jump through hoops to cancel, I wouldn't have a problem that I gave them a ton of money without realizing it because it would be my bad to continuously see the charge and not fix it, but in this case my card couldn't even be charged, thus I couldn't even enter the gym, thus I never got a service which requires to be paid. On top of that, they never contacted me before they tried to threaten me with collection, making it very clear they were letting the charges run up until a certain amount to make me aware of it, because if they had made me aware of it beforehand, it wouldn't be an issue.
When your system is set up to be hard to cancel the membership then your contract is blatantly designed to scam your previous customers when they want to leave you, then you purposely do not contact people when these backcharges start so you can let it go on until the bill is a couple hundred with the late fees attached... the fact that you have late fees for a gym, a service you cannot use unless you have a fully paid membership, is really off. I can understand late and backcharges on things like, renting a carpet cleaner or movie. If you keep those things over the limit you paid to have them the company is losing money, but for a gym only people who have paid memberships can get in... so only people who have paid their monthly fee are there, there is nobody in the gym that hasnt paid to be there taking up space... so how are you losing money to have late and back fees ??? I am mostly mad because they chose to keep charging a card that doesn't work on purpose to rake up a bigger bill I owe them, when they could have just called the first time they tried to charge me and it didn't work and told me they would be charging me still even if it doesn't go through... I would have just gone and fixed it. But they waited ON PURPOSE to accumulate more fees I owe, while I was totally unaware of what was going on or that they were still trying to charge me. Then try to scare me into their "deal" by threatening me with debt collectors on a bill I didn't know existed for a gym I don't attend?
Anyways, done ranting, I basically just wanted everyone to know that in my opinion their contract is designed to scam, banking on people being busy and is predatory in nature. I personally wouldn't have dealt with this company if I knew they were waiting to prey on you whenever they can even if the charges don't make sense. If I knew that they would know for months my card isnt being charged, decide to not contact me, then come at me with threats of debt collectors, I wouldnt have ever went to this gym or sign the contract. I never knew I would need to check with a lawyer for hidden scams on a gym contract before I sign up for a place to WORK OUT.
