Worst experience at Crunch Cutler Bay. I wanted to cancel, they charged me the year snd the following month. The guy named Kyle does not listen, he keeps talking and talking, does not matter if you are talking.
Unfair!!...

Online Pictures are FAKE!!
Came here for a free trial, and thank God it was only a trial. First off, all the pics they post on Google and their social media are fake. Went to the lower stoney Creek location, and the place was one small room with machines jammed in. Place is a social distancing nightmare. Wouldn't sign up for free. Place is a scam in my opinion. The pics online are very misleading, cause the gym looks nothing like them.

Once they get their hands in your bank…
Once they get their hands in your bank account, you will play hell getting them out again. They are dishonest scammers and their trainers will injure you. Run away.

Lack of Communication and follow through
Normally I would start a review with how I feel I was treated by a company. In this instance, however, I was treated so poorly, that I do not wish to take up my limited characters with the treatment I received. Instead, just the facts.
I was lied to about fees. Amounts, length of charges and "hidden" fees that I was told upon signing up would be waived. Several people claiming to be management or in charge in some form were not telling each other what they were telling me. Long story short: I paid for and continue to pay for services that I am not receiving. Department heads seem quite disinterested in straightening anything out as long as they can continue to remove funds from my checking account. My bank has now been informed and are seeking a resolution on their end in regards to allowing this company access to the accounts of their bank customers. I encourage banks in general to investigate this company and their practices.

J$&@& the manager at Crunch fitness in Welland Ontario
J$&@&, the manager in the welland, ON, Canada site is not a good person to deal with. I now live out of town and stopped by the gym last week to cancel. I was told that he was in a meeting and that he would call me back. He never called me. I will elaborate this to anyone that asks.
He was so Weird and talked to me like I was garbage. Not once did I swear, threat, or raise my tone on him while on the phone. But he was saying things like “stop being rude”, “stop talking to me like that” and he even said “you said you loved our gym”. I asked him if he recorded me saying that, as I believe that I did not and he said he records all of his conversations. I think he was saying those things for a show to the employees that were present beside him, hearing what he spoke.
I was told that I have a year contract! What?! I only agreed to no contract! Then I was told that the contract was sent to me by email. He also said that he had a conversation that he remembers vividly with his employee about me, that I was to sign up for a contract. This was never discussed with me. I actually had a conversation with my husband that I was going to take the cheapest monthly plan or the corporate without a contract. I would have never signed up if I had a contract.
J$&@&, the crunch fitness manager at welland is now accusing me of agreeing to a contract and is trying to charge me the full price of payments till the contract ends. He continued to talk over me and down at me. I still can’t get over the crazy things he was saying; about how he portrayed me, talking to him. He had to have had an audience, so strange.
During the reopening after the first shut down, due to COVID, I asked for a membership without a contract. I was honest and heard that some gyms were taking payments and not refunding when gyms were forced to close. I was told that I could go back on the corporate program without prorate to the yearly fees, if I cancelled at anytime. I was okay with no contract and went with the plan, trusting the employee. Otherwise; I stated that I would take the minimum monthly fee without the extras. Daycare was obsolete the entire time I have been a member, since COVID, otherwise I tried the tan and massage a few times, just because I could. If one was to look into my membership they would see that the extras were rarely utilized. I only tried them, as I had the corporate discount, waiting for day care to open, so that I could actually use the gym often.
Anyways, I told J$&@&, I would speak of my experience, that was less than good. He then told me I was threatening him and his gym. I corrected him and noted to him that I was not in any way trying to threaten him or his gym. Rather, I just had intentions on speaking about my actual experiences and in specific, how I was accused of being a lier. I signed up with the understanding that I was not going into a contract. Jason told me that I signed up knowing I was going into a contract.
Now my situation is I live out of town and can’t even use the gym; but I’m being forced into paying for a membership that I can’t use till September when my membership can be cancelled. Crunch, are you really that hard up?
