Overall, I really like this gym and my workout experience at the Waldorf location. The facility is nice, the workouts are great, and I’ve been happy with my membership overall. That said, for the amount we pay in membership fees, I expect the equipment and amenities to be maintained properly. The men’s locker room sauna has been out of service for more than a month. I use the sauna before and after my workouts, so this has definitely thrown off my routine. I understand things break, but a month is a long time for an amenity at a gym that’s not even a year old. There are two smaller saunas available in another area of the gym, but they’re pretty small and co-ed. I’ve also noticed that some of the women seem uncomfortable with the situation. On top of that, both sauna door handles are broken. That seems like a pretty simple handyman/maintenance issue that should have been addressed by now. I understand this gym gets a lot of traffic, but that’s also why I would expect commercial-grade equipment and regular maintenance. If things are already showing this much wear while the facility is less than a year old, it makes me wonder what things will look like a few years from now. Again, I actually like this gym. That’s why I’m hoping management takes the feedback seriously. I’m not expecting everything to be perfect, but when you’re paying premium membership prices, you should be able to expect the basic amenities to work.

I went in to get some personal training. They told me I had to commit to three months of sessions and the membership. My trainer was great and at the 3 month mark, I tried to cancel. A month later they charged me for the membership again and told me I didn’t cancel “the right way”. I’m still trying to cancel and working with the credit card company to stop the charges.

I would rate Crunch higher if it wasn't for their displaying Bravo on the TVs. Bravo is a nasty station. Nudity shouldn't be shown in public. I appreciate the number of machines and the ability to get on them easily, usually.

Great gym environment, wonderful trainer. Felix, the manager is a rude hot mess from HELL. I asked him to correct a sign on a machine to reflect the fact that it has been and will be “down” awaiting parts rather than the current sign that says, “We all need a day off. Easy peasy fix. He told me I was venting and to connect corporate. Atta boy, Felix, that’s customer service and accountability.

The lockers by the front desk are mostly either locked or broken. Paper towel towels in the dispensers consistently run out on Tuesday. Half of the TV screens are tuned to Fox News, the station of the pedophile in chief which makes it difficult to use the stationary cycle. It is depressing. Then I find that the crunch owner ship is cooperating with ice according to news report who may apparently come in and harass members if they choose. I see no point in discussing pros. Just don’t blame the employees. It is the business owner‘s fault.

I like the price per month. I like that there are lots of machines to work out on. I DON'T like that the adductor and abductor machines face the area where many people are lifting weights. Why would the Gym not place these machines facing the wall? If that is not possible move them so they face another machine, at least then not so many people will be able to view your pelvic region as you open and close your legs. Also, why have the treadmills facing the space where people workout? The treadmills could face the other wall, and TVs placed there. These types of changes allow people to work out without others staring at them. I'm surprised the gym designers did not think more about these things when designing the layout. Finally, my experience with the staff has always been positive, they say hello, they help, they answer questions, all good. Thanks.

Overall, Crunch in Park West is a pretty nice gym. However. occasionally they pipe in vulgar music rife with vulgar four-letter words that do a disservice to its mixed age clients. The gym still lacks television screens, and the grounds look like abandoned property.

I visited the location in sunrise, Florida and first of all the music is so loud you could barely understand each other inside the gym regardless if you’re using your headphones, I like the fact that their machines are pretty to you, but in the afternoon this gym is super packed and no machines available
