I want to love this company but they make it impossible. Everyone I speak to is dumber than the next. I keep the service because of what they stand for morally. The fact that they don't have true international service is also a huge imposition as I now have to carry 2 phones when I am out of the country. I wish I could recommend this company to people so that everyone moves away from disgusting companies like AT&T who were instrumental in over turning Roe v Wade. Be better Credo.

This is the most god awful company I’ve ever used. Oh my god. I was just on the phone with them and they are disrespectful and insanely unhelpful. Was reprimanded for asking a question, and my cellular data hasn’t worked in two weeks because the first CS representative gave me a QR code that only works for 5G phones. Which I do NOT have.

I’ve used a variety of different carriers over the years, and CREDO’s marketing and policies seemed in line with other companies like Consumer Cellular- who warn you of overages, and automatically upgrade your plan to lessen the damage. Even big companies like SPRINT have made this change, since it causes so much agony and leaving customers. CREDO clearly hears about this problem a lot, as when i brought it to their attention they immediately closed the case. When I asked to terminate my plan due to this ridiculous policy (they already make a fortune, like every carrier, even after donations), they said I had to call and wait through an AT&T/Verizon style automated system. ****AVOID****. I read reviews like this and thought I could make it work, all it took was leaving data (and WiFi) on for a few hours and now i have to go through the trouble of finding a new carrier…

Sadly, Credo has gone the way of multinational cooperations. They are no longer the user friendly hometown company that cared about customer and community. The customer service now is more inline with handing a random person a phone and saying, “I’ll pay you $20 to take the next 10 calls.” Very sad. Now to find a new mobile company.

I was a loyal customer since their inception and I wish I could continue to support them and their causes, but the company has gone downhill so quickly it is horrifying and sad. (And it's really just Verizon at this point anyway, so don't fool yourself) I got a new phone from Credo (a fairly standard Samsung S23a) in Sept. 2023 and then spent the next 6+ months fighting with them trying to get the phone to work - could frequently not make or receive calls or texts. I went weeks without a working phone and spent hours and hours on the phone with Support, or rather fighting with machines that couldn't understand me while trying to get to Support (whose humans weren't much better at communicating clearly). When I finally decided to quit Credo and get a legit provider it was a shockingly difficult ordeal in which they kept hanging up on me (5 times in a row once) and gave me the wrong transfer code. In the end, they sent me a $600+ bill after I left, and when I disputed the charges because the service never worked my appeals were denied. I have probably never dealt with a more disreputable organization. They are corrupt and deceitful and inept: the phones just do NOT work and they lie to cover it up (see other reviews online). Every support call was lengthy and frustrating. Any other service provider has got to be better. Please learn from my nightmare and avoid CREDO Mobile at all costs. Warn the others! I know I will...

Don’t ever plan on calling customer service unless you want to spend hours waiting for any service. The last time we needed to call it took us 3 hours. We’ve been on hold over an hour today. DO NOT GO TO CREDO!!

I thought I'd lost the bill when I couldn't find it. Then it arrived last Friday with other bills. (I've had trouble not finding their bill and thought it was me). But it was with a bunch of other bills that had just arrived, so it, too, just arrived. The bill is for Last Month! I usually pay my bills by hand, by check, and note if the amount has changed. I haven't done that lately, and I found they'd added more storage without asking, or notifying! Sneaky, like one of the other mobile phone companies did that, and I thought I could trust Credo. They TALK a good line.. And then screw you...

We have been with credo for years and felt strongly that our money should support progressive causes, but in the past month we have had issues that resulted in an inability to use our phones. Both of us are reliant on our phones for work (thanks to a double verify system) not to mention just the general safety with travel and communication with family. We got rid of our home phone years ago when a wire was cut and the cost was too prohibitive, thinking that cell phones would be enough. My sim card abruptly stopped working and after daily customer service calls, overnight mailing of said sim card that got cancelled thrice, and eventually a week later and a really helpful customer service rep, we were able to get an esim installed and working. That was after a week of hearing that there's nothing that can be done. Today, my husband's phone (that already had an esim card) stopped recognizing it, and we got the same answer. Perhaps we will get a call back Monday or Tuesday we were told. Despite the need to have a phone that actually works as a phone, we were told that there's nothing they can do. We will be changing carriers with much disappointment.
