I have joined the group of frustrated, disgusted customers who used CREDO for many years. Now, I am trying to free myself, and move to another server. Sad at the ruin of what was once a good, reliable firm.

Their motto is "with a conscience". Don't believe it. I've been a member for YEARS. Just discovered that I've been paying $15/mth more than other subscribers. They never notifed me of any opportunity to change my plan. Contacted them hoping they'd make it right- they won't refund or credit my account. It may not be illegal, but it very much unethical. The charitable donations? iT'S YOUR MONEY. They choose who gets your $. You can vote sometimes (I haven't received an invite to vote lately) but they choose the candidates. I'd rather not pay for their donations, get affordable service, and decide who to donate to myself.

This company has turned into a corporate monolith that has LOUSY customer service. I have been with them for, literally, decades.... and I am a CEO and founder of two businesses now 30 years old. I know what successful, caring customer service is. Up until a year ago the service was wonderful, the prices fair and their commitment to supporting a liberal agenda aligned with my values. That is still true. A % of each bill goes three selected organizations every month.... BUT: 1. They have become one of the most expensive carriers on the market (I just switched to Optimum and am paying 30% of Credo's monthly fee including brand new phones. No exaggeration. 2. The phones they sell range in price. I buy for myself and my daughter the oldest least expensive models. Optimum is providing me brand new most recent models and the prices are ridiculously low. 3. Customer service and Tech support has become terrible. Not only long waits to speak to someone, but ineffectual. I have had tech problems that they can't solve and instead of replacing my phones or provide me a discount, They sent me to Apple and Samsung for a solution. HORRIBLE customer service. This company used to be THE BEST in the business. Now they are CORPORATE SELL OUTS.

Credo is the worst. If I could give them negative stars, I would. They spontaneously locked my husband's phone for 9 days over the holidays while we were traveling. They claimed it was Verizon's fault, and then Apple's fault. A very kind Verizon employee spent hours on the phone with Apple determining that it was actually Credo's fault, and then Credo took over 4 days to correct it. During that time they gave us no time frame for correction and the customer agents were rudy, smarmy, and condescending, in addition to contradictory. And they refused to comp our bill even though my husband had no phone service for a third of a month. We are now in the process of switching services after only two months, and Credo appears to be unable to unlock his phone so we can switch it to the new service, once again wasting our time and energy. We have spent over six hours on the phone begging them to unlock the phone.

Haven't yet started to use credo but its seems to me everyone with a negative comment are just mad they didn't get special treatment after being a ridiculously long time customer. Leaves to me believe the service is good if you were with them so long. thank you

They will not let me port out. Truth is not really part of their ethos.

Just my experience for the last few days. I hope you walk with a brighter sky, if you deal with Credo. Misleading. Exhausting and Frustrating. Be aware that the low quote + taxes has a ridiculous Administrative charge also added to the cost. "Fast & Easy"- NOT! Nothing is done as promised. I usually don't give negative reviews, but this has been days of trying to get switched to Credo. I'm changing my mind. Verizon costs more, but the cost would probably even out after the cost of vodka is factored in for dealing with Credo. This has been a HORRIBLE experience! 😳

I used this service for literally decades, and was blissfully unaware how obnoxious they had become until I needed help a couple of weeks ago. Their customer service is the worst. I was on the phone with them 90 minutes yesterday and emailing them another 90 minutes afterwards, and still got no resolution. I am only asking now that they port my number to another service and they won't even do that. I swear, all their emails are generated by AI. They use the same BS phrases about how important I am to them as a customer. Stay away from these people. Come to find they are over-priced on top of it!
