CREDO was sold back in 2021 to Riley Investment Company. I researched why I am no longer getting donation choices monthly. Are they still donating money to nonprofits? I have been a member for over 20 years and I think the sale should have been announced to the members and what the sale meant to the mission of CREDO.

E-SIM Update Switches Us to AT&T
Transitioning to eSIM was not easy, but I managed to get it done for my phone and my husband’s. What I’m really annoyed about is that we left AT&T to join Credo Mobile because we were unhappy with AT&T’s politics. We thought we would be moving to T-Mobile/Sprint, but discovered it would be Verizon. Not great, but at least not AT&T.
I was happy with Credo Mobile until the latest move to eSim. I was especially unhappy when I learned we were back to AT&T. I learned this when AT&T texted me about how to make my wifi better at home. Also, Verizon had given me access to the internet at a large botanical garden where I volunteer. Access is now unavailable with AT&T. We were not told that this would be a result of the upgrade. We don’t hear anymore about leaving the big corporations behind. Credo Mobile’s service sits on top of the worst of them.

Three stars not entirely fair
The three stars are not entirely fair, as I have no problem with their service. As I understand it, they piggyback on the Verizon network, which is highly reliable; no dropped calls, few blank spots.
The trouble is, I switched from Verizon to Credo when I found out that Verizon, like ATT, is a heavy contributor to right-wing organizations with which I disagree. Credo, on the other hand, sends a portion of my monthly payment to progressive causes, and I can vote which of three (or all 3) my contribution will go to. When I signed up they were piggybacking with Sprint, iirc, not Verizon. So it's a bit of a moral quandary for me now. I like that the causes get my money, but hate that Verizon is involved. So this is a thumbs down if you're on the left, but maybe a thumbs up if you're on the right.
