Ron Hanhigh ( corporate manager) was to return the call based on a supervisor's word after a lengthy dispute. Credo was charging $178.00 per month for simple talk and text ( I own my phone) which is $100 more than is what they advertise. I had repeatedly requested an upgrade of gigabytes so the data charge was not outrageous. None of the Credo staff I called or emailed did the requested upgrade, so my prices were outrageous based on their negligence/ incompetence. The calls to credit the account are responded to with gaslighting. They are predatory, especially towards the disabled. As I was going through illness/surgery they did not return calls, upgrade( 9 gigabyte) to lower my bill, or respond with honesty.These folks are toxic so beware.

Run for the hills, my friend--anything would be better than this trap of a carrier. (this coming from a committed, cat-loving snowflake lib, & a previous customer-- they were overpriced still then but okay) Attempted to switch my number over to Cre-dough (and lots of it!)--biggest mistake of the year so far : ( It took days to get it done, meanwhile without service, and they were NOT proactive at all--would be promised calls and emails back, didn't hear from them. And there were still problems with data and text messaging, so I figured better cancel and dodge any more bullets. Upon trying to cancel, saw my bill was $64, when I thought I'd signed up for the $35/ month/1 GB plan. I thought the price was inclusive but there's all these sneaky things they add, none of which is getting donated to anyone but corporate I imagine. And they parsed the monthly billing period dates, so even though I was only a customer for a less than two weeks, I'm getting charged for 2 months of service. So mad. And I'm not even sure yet if I won't get charged for a third month because they won't confirm cancellation until you pay, and so it goes...sigh.

Donate to your charities yourself. Credo is extremely expensive for the service you get. They do not disclose the total fees up front and their web sign up info is vague and misleading. Total bait and switch! I signed up three phones thinking I was getting three gig data for $35 per phone but it was three gig to share or one gig per phone and I had to pay over $100 to switch providers. My first monthly bill was $192 for 1 gig of data per phone! What?? Turns out there were $57 of extra fees. These fees were nearly triple what folks I know with similar plans were paying. We switched to MINT! Highly recommend!! We were on Credo for less than a week. I just got my final prorated bill for that week of service. $87 dollars. This whole experience has been atrocious. I wish I had researched them better up front. Hard lesson learned.

CREDO is great way to give back to the people on the frontlines of humannitarian causes. Att and verizon own 100% of cell towers now. Every company uses those towers. So this dribble about bad coverage is suspect. They contribute on a global level to strictly humanitarian causes and to earth-first climate policies. Black Lives Matter, etcetera. 2 years now. Plus, they gave me major latitude during covid.

I have been a customer since the 1990s.. I joined in the 80s when they were a small company in San Francisco. Working Assets long distance and left but returned esp due to the social justice support! Twice in the last year a service rep was going to call me back and didn't. Once it was in the midst of troubleshooting the NEW phone that had some major glitches. She took two numbers to reach me with and NEVER called back,said she had a hard time hearing me so i gave her another mobile # plus she already had the number I was on my computer call with her, with. who do you hire to work for you ? sad sad days for CREDO.

Not what they claim to be. We have been customers for many years but this company has changed. They have repeatedly failed to apply payments and it is nearly impossible to reach customer service and if you do they usually cut you off before a rep picks up. And if they do pick up they are extremely unproffesional. We liked this company because of their promise to support progressive causes but it seems that is also a scam.

The reception and service is horrible. They say they use Verizon towers but unsure about that. I'll usually try different providers but this was the worst by far service wise. I travel for work and good reception is a must.

They donate to progressive organizations, which I love! Runs on the Verizon network and we haven’t had any issues! Highly recommend.
