We have used Chewy's for several years. This month we lost our wonderful Portuguese Water dog named Violet. I was not paying attention and we received an auto ship order for 6 cases of dog food. I contacted Chewy's to find out if they would allow us to return the order. They were so kind and without any question gave us a full refund plus instead of returning the cases, they asked if we would donate them to a dog/animal shelter. That was great. BUT -- even more amazing is that tonight when I got home, there was a bouquet of flowers waiting that had been sent from Chewy's (and it came from the really nice florist in the neighborhood)!!! The note was heartfelt and so sweet. They have won a customer for life. Well done Chewy's. Doug Dorsett

We paid $50 for a hamster cage, but I wouldn’t even pay $20 for it. The material was just cheap plastic, and some pieces were breaking. It took us somewhere around two hours to put it together, as some of the pieces didn’t quite fit properly. We were glad when we were done with it. The experience was not the most enjoyable. This was our first time using Chewy.com, but we will never buy anything else from them. It was overall a disappointing experience.

If I could give a negative start rating, I would! I signed up with Chewy to get my dog's medication at almost a 50% savings over what my vet charges and it would be shipped for free! Well, July was my first order. I received it in just a couple of days, but noticed that they had said "No Refills" on the package. I had a follow-up visit with my vet and asked her about it. She told me that she had authorized 6 months of medication! While I was still there, she called Chewy and let them know so I assumed it was corrected. Well fast forward to August. I placed my refill order when I was down to just about 2 weeks of medication left. Order placed on August 20 then on August 31, I recieved an email that my vet hadn't approved the refill and they would cancel the order the next day! I called "Customer Service" (using that name very liberally) and they said it was because my vet hadn't authorized it. I turned around and called my vet who said it showed in the chart that it had been faxed and they had called. I called Chewy back and got the same answer. They re-faxed the form to my vet and (you guessed it) I called my vet again. They filled the form out AGAIN and faxed it right back. I called on September 1 to Chewy. Again was told my vet hadn't authorized it. Another call to the vet. I waited until the end of the day and reached out to Chewy again. Ended up asking for a Pharmacy Supervisor. Well, again, was told they didn't have the authorization but he would look. Low and behold, he found the authorization from JULY!! Now here it is July 2 and it STILL hasn't shipped. I called them today and they said "we're sorry but we'll reimburse you for the cost of the pills if you have to have it filled in the interim". Well, let's see - who is going to reimburse me for my lost time at work because the vet closes before I get off work and they don't open until after I'm at work! Needless to say, I will be filing complaints everywhere that I know how to. Do yourself a favor - spend the extra money and get your prescriptions from your vet. The aggravation isn't worth the money you will save.

Chewys customer service and prices can't be beaten. I read the reviews for a harness I wanted to buy and the reviews said to order a size up! big mistake, the harness was too big. I called customer service and they refund my money and kindly asked me to donate the harness to a local shelter. I'm also impressed with their fast shipping, especially because I need it my puppy lice and flea medicine. chewy 10/10!!

We began using Chewy when our cat was put in a prescription diet, a few months later, our dog was also placed on a prescription diet. By using chewy, we not only saved money, we received top notch service, we didn’t know how top notch though until recently. When our beloved baby passed away, chewy not only allowed us to donate all of his dog food, they sent us flowers and a beautiful note sharing their condolences for our loss. What a wonderful and moving gift to receive, it was unexpected and very much appreciated. We will continue to use chewy and would strongly recommend them to everyone. What a great company!

DONT ORDER PET MEDS FROM CHEWY Their pharmacy department is very hit or miss. About half of the time it takes a week or longer to get your meds, even when your vet’s office approves it right away. My order was put in on Wednesday, approved by the vet on Saturday. Yesterday (Tuesday) I called because it still hadn’t shipped, and got the excuse that Chewy has a contractual agreement with Fedex and they don’t ship on Sundays or Mondays. I was promised my order would go out yesterday, and be “expedited”, but when I called today (because surprise surprise it still hasn’t shipped) there is no record of that conversation with the pharmacy person Shannon. Such utter BS! My dog needs this medication, but Chewy doesn’t care. In reading the other reviews here it’s clear Chewy doesn’t care if pets die due to their incompetence. Never again. I’ll gladly pay more at CVS to make sure there is no lapse in my dog’s medications.

All the bad reviews are related to Chewy Pharmacy from what I am seeing. In my own experience, they are all true and valid. The Chewy Pharmacy has been an absolute nightmare experience, both coordinating with them/my vet and actually getting the medication delivered. My dog has needed anti-itch medicine for tick bites and two weeks later, I still cannot get my order filled with them. This part of the company either needs to be fixed or removed, as soon as possible.

I attempted to have 2 prescriptions filled by Chewy and ordered some pizzle. Well after processing the first script for 9 days we finally called (after also receiving out box of pizzle filled with ants but Ill get back to that) First we were told that they could not get through to our vet, then they said that our vet had requested chewy not contact them any longer for prescription verification. Well which is is?! You cant get through to them or they told you not to contact them? Furthermore as you have had these prescriptions for 9 days now, when were you planning on informing me there was a problem and that I would need to mail in the original scripts?! Now the ant problem, I ordered some loose pizzle. These were just thrown in a shipping box. Ants had invaded the box and 100s of ants were inside unknown to us, which proceeded to get all over my kitchen because that is where we opened it. Im still killing random ants the following morning.
