We had the BEST experience with Chewy. Our dear, sweet Aussie, Daisy, passed away two weeks ago and Chewy refunded the entire price of her unfinished bag of perscription food ($75) AND sent us some beautiful flowers. Chewy has our business forever!

Not a fan anymore. Aside from them being crazy expensive….I missed an auto ship notification! Once I checked, it was already in transit via Fed Ex (not a fan of them either for various reasons). According to the Fed Ex website, if you want to refuse a package you should leave a note. I did…in 2 places. Fed Ex still delivered. When I called Chewy this morning, they said they had to transfer me to the “pharmacy department.” The pharmacy department turned out to be someone’s home. How do I know this? There was a baby WAILING in the background! The.whole.time. Ultimately they said there was nothing they could do because it was an autoship and I should have seen the notification. Which I did, but not until it was too late. Guess they do not allow for human error. I canceled all subscriptions and my account.

Customer service is inept at best. Ordered a prescription refill for one of my dogs. It was ordered on my account, paid for with my credit card, but I was sending it to my son (who has one of my dogs temporarily). Vet denied refill because Chewy only identified my son's name and phone number, did not reference me at all. My son does not have an account with Chewy. I called Chewy and asked them to resubmit the request (and mention my name in the process)- woman I spoke to was flaky- couldn't find the initial order (that had been rejected) so she created a new order. Made all kinds of chitchat that wasted my time. As soon as I got off the phone, Chewy sent an email saying I have dual orders. I then chatted with a customer rep online to MAKE SURE that when the prescription refill request was resubmitted (I had canceled the original order and left the second one standing) the person calling my vet noted that it was ordered by me and paid for by me. The online rep ASSURED me that this would be done. Was it done? Nope, I again had to talk to my vet and to avoid any more dealing with Chewy, I added my son to my account at the vet, since there was NO MENTION of my name by Chewy when they called it in. Products from Chewy are pretty good, pricing is okay, but customer service warrants a big fat zero.

Just received pet remberance stone purchased to give to my daughter who just lost her best friend "Chase". Heart shaped engraved stone was perfect...exactly as pictured! Pleasure dealing w/Chewy....I'm sure I'll be back...lot of "dear pets" in this family!

This is the second time in 3 months someone has been able to access my chewy account and order things. Luckily I found it right away and canceled it but its a pain since the bank will then hold on the money for a few days. Chewy has done barely anything to help. The last time I had to call 3 days to get the first one resolved. I cannot refer this site to anyone. It will be a headache to try and get your money back and you will continue to worry about your CC information.

I have stopped buying surging from Chewy for one reason. The fact they use FedEx for delivery. I have absolutely no luck with FedEx and the service. For that alone, I do not recommend Chewy for any of your pet needs.

Do not recommend as a pet pharmacy. Blames vet facilities when they mess anything up, causing clients to angrily call us. Tells clients vet facilities 'just want their money' when we decline for overdue bloodwork or exam. EXTREMELY poor ally of vets and veterinary workers, who are already in a high-stress (and high-suicide) field of work. As the veterinary pharmacist of a large 24/7 emergency facility, of all the pharmacies I deal with, Chewy is the absolute worst. Will ship product to wrong address; ships expired products; ships wrong dose of products; blames veterinary facility for everything and anything when all we do is approve or decline based on our records and requirements. Chewy seems to have their phone reps trained to immediately blame the veterinary facility. Have had reps try to use my personal account to ship/approve things when they could not find the client I called about "because its easier." Shady practices. Would recommend use of 1800PetMeds, VetsFirstChoice, Allivet, or literally any other pharmacy, as I rarely ever have these issues elsewhere.

I ordered over $100 of cat food and cat litter from Chewy.com. The customer service representative who took the order got everything correctly. I got an email from Chewy confirming the order and then an email saying Federal Express had delivered the order at 3:30 pm yesterday. I never got the delivery. Chewy had my address correctly, so in this case, it was a Federal Express issue. I called Chewy and the representative apologized and said another order would be shipped out last night. He asked me to call if the order showed up and I checked my stoop and in front of the garage all late afternoon and evening, It never showed up. I got an email this morning saying the order was going to be delivered today. It only showed one of the cases of cat food I originally ordered and did not show the other case of cat food or the litter. So I called Chewy and I told the representative what had happened. I had to repeat the story FOUR times. He told me he would transfer me to a supervisor and put me on hold for about 5 minutes. When the supervisor answered, I discovered he had not relayed the story to her. I had to repeat it TWO times to the supervisor and she implied by her response that she was questioning my honesty about whether or not I was telling the truth about receiving the shipment. Then she told me one of the cases of cat food was out of stock and that I would receive a refund to my credit card in 3-5 business days. I asked why they had not emailed me to tell me that. There was no response. I asked why the cat litter was not included in today’s shipment along with the food that was shipped and she said she didn’t know. She was kind of rude. I called back and talked to another manager and she apologized and said she would find out who I talked to. I received an email telling me the cat litter would be shipped out and I would receive it no later than Wednesday which is 5 days away. The manager confirmed that my credit card would be refunded in 3-5 business days. I will NEVER order from Chewy again. Their customer service stinks. I will order from Amazon from now on because they’re reliable.
