Was a great company until purchased by Petco. As we see with so many acquisitions, when they’re getting beat up by their competition, buy them. Then bring the price back up where they want it. Price just went through the roof, dog food bag volume steadily, declining and they really don’t seem to give a damn. Hopefully some of their suppliers read the read these reviews and reconsider their relationship with them

I have been buying from Chewy. Off and on for years. But my latest experience really makes me think that I should avoid buying from this company. It USED to be a okay business to order from. My last experience (1day ago) really topped it all. Not going into a long explanation.they took out the amount for the order six days before they were supposed to fill it. It is not a small amount, of course that causes me problems. The other complaint I have lately is the packaging . Chewy really must be hard up to save on tape to close the boxes, and no more filler paper etc. to stop the boxes from bouncing around. The only good experience was the friendly representative, however I guess I have to wait yet to see if the problem has been solved.

We lost our beautiful rag doll a few months ago and your company wanted to know why I buying product anymore. I explained why and they sent a very nice note AND a dozen long stem yellow roses. What more can I say other than we just purchased two more rag kittens and plan to use your company forever. Thanks Chew

I recently lost my pet unexpectedly and when I contacted customer service they were very compassionate and gave a full refund and told me not to worry about returning the items. Then a couple days later, Chewy sent me beautiful flowers too. It was very comforting and I will definitely be using Chewy for future pets. Thank you for such a a positive experience in such a difficult time.

I have been a loyal customer of Chewy for years now. They are amazing! I have had two times when I needed to return an item--either I bought something that was the wrong size or I bought the wrong food, and both times they refunded me immediately. I didn't even need to return either item! They let me just donate the item (or keep it) and they refunded me anyway! Their customer service is impeccable and I have never, ever, experienced a company so devoted to pets AS WELL AS their customers. I never go on line to leave a review. But, in this case, they deserve my efforts.

Not long ago I would have given them a 5. But there are 3 big problems with Chewy. First has become false advertising. They have constant ads for sale prices and for low prices if you buy with autoship. These all disappear as soon as you click on the product or try to get the autoship price. You will never find that discounted price that made you click on the link in the first place. Recently I gave up and went elsewhere due to this false advertising. Second: they ship FedEx; as noted in other reviews FedEx delivers by dropping the box in the middle of the street or similar. The packaging has also become worse with items banging around loose in boxes. Third: be aware that you cannot trust their onsite reviews because if you leave any negative comments about a product they will contact you directly and pressure you to change your review. This definitely influences people to just not leave any negative comments. This used to be my "go-to" source for pet supplies but the company has been changing and not in a positive way. I am sorry to see it.

Chewy customer service is by far the best I have dealt with recently. Everyone is extremely nice,friendly and knowledgeable. They go out of their way to make things right. Rarely have I had an issue with them. I recently lost my dog, and every one was sympathetic and caring. They even sent me a bouquet of flowers with a lovely note. Rarely do you find a company that goes out of its way like Chewy. As long as I have pets, I will use Chewy. Thank you to all their wonderful employees.

They use fed ex. They place your order in a state that's 20 hours away Ocala FL or Texas. When there's a huge wharehouse in the state I live in. If you contact customer service they will let you know there's nothing they can or will do. Last order they said you have to do what's best for your fur babies in email so they are not concerned with losing business. They have plenty of others that are on the hook. Use another pet site .
