Chewy.comReviews of chewy.com

Chewy is the best company around for pet supplies! They are a 10/10!! We have hardly ever had an issue and when we did they always fix it immediately and are so polite and kind. As the owners of 6 dogs and 4 cats we use a lot of their products.

We have been an auto-ship customer for many years. Chewy has superb service. They are so easy to do business with. Got a question, just call they will handle it. There are so many companies out there that could use Chewy's business practices.

Bait and switch marketing. They advertise all their products as 1/2 off for the first auto-ship order. Try to add things to your cart, they ALL have autoship discount for the first order! Yay! But that’s not actually true. You get ONE auto-ship order at half off, up to $X, per HOUSEHOLD, ever. That’s it. Not per item. Not per order. You can’t combine any coupons either. I was a little miffed at this but went ahead and made a huge order anyway ($235). My cat is sick! Baby needs his food. But my order of fountains and prescription cat food stayed in the “processing” state for over a week. When I wrote in to ask what was going on and if it was going to be shipped, they canceled my entire order! Turns out my partner had already used his account once with our same address and credit card and already used an $20 autoship discount. My order would’ve been another $20 autoship discount. They can’t let Chewy let their customers get an extra $20 discount now can we? Instead of canceling just the one problematic anutoship order, or putting that one on hold, they canceled my whole shipment. This is for food we would’ve been ordering regularly to the tune of hundreds if not thousands of dollars, recurring. They don’t want me as a customer. Meanwhile Chewy sends out endless coupons you can’t use and tries to lure you with fake autoship discounts. I wish they were just honest and didn’t offer this bait and switch marketing. What a bummer.

I have been a Chewy customer for years and have always had lightning fast service and the best customer service of any company I've ever dealt with. My orders are shipped out quickly and when they arrive, if there is anything wrong, they fix it on the spot. And most of the orders that are wrong or damaged are from shipping, not Chewy-generated. They are kind, they go out of their way to make sure the customer is happy and my pets enthusiastically like their products. I love Chewy and the great Chewy family.

I placed an order on 3/9 for two bags of dog food that we needed for a trip on 3/14. On the 12th, the food had not arrived. I logged into my account to see what the hold up was. Apparently since I had paid with my Apple Pay, they needed extra verification. They held my order. I called customer service and spoke to someone named (Tamara?) She said that because I never called in, the order didn't ship. I paid using Apple Pay and a Chewy gift card they gave me. Apple Pay is already a secure payment source and the gift card was on MY CHEWY ACCOUNT. What?!?!! I told them to cancel the order because I had never experienced this before. I have been a Chewy customer for YEARS and this left a bad taste in my mouth and the customer service person didn't seem to know what she was talking about. I tried explaining multiple times, and she was unsympathetic and didn't seem to care. I will be buying my food elsewhere. Shame on you, Chewy.

IF they do not ship to Hawai'i, you would think they would have that posted. I spent my second busy day finally getting the account set up, and could not pay as they would not take my shipping address. PLEASE LET THE PUBLIC KNOW CHEWY. RESPECT THAT OUR TIME IS VALUABLE.

What a runaround - tried to order some boxes of cat litter and six days later still nothing. Complained and they wanted me to re-enter all my order info etc even though they earlier sent me an email acknowledging receipt of my order…. Customer service then sent me a review request, which I answered and then called and emailed back. After 8 days, still no litter and the cat poop is now building up. Day 9 they somehow cancel the order but no word on a refund etc. NEVER AGAIN will I waste my time with these idiots……

I used to order a lot from Chewy but got tired of the endless web marketing and account sign in games. Companies should decide if they're in business to sell product and make money or play internet marketing games. I just tried to order as a guest and use PayPal to pay. That's all the info they need to know including shipping addy but it recognized my name and insisted that I sign in, where upon I abandoned the order and their chance to make money. Each account on the internet is yet another exposure of your info and yet another opportunity for ID theft. Therefore I do business and pay with PayPal only or I just go and buy elsewhere.
