I was struggling and didn't know where to turn, my insurance was playing back and forth with where I could receive treatment. I found Cerebral online and they offered a fantastic price for the first month of treatment, it would have been stupid to say no when I knew I needed help right away. The counselors and therapists they gave me from day one listened to me more than anyone I had ever had before, my first two sessions were supposed to be no more than 30 minutes and they both talked with me for over an hour. To be honest, I left Cerebral, not because it wasn't working but because it was. They gave me the tools and resources to help myself and seek help locally. I HIGHLY suggest anyone who doesn't know where to turn to try Cerebral (and ask for Betti Jo as your Care Counselor)

Cerebral keeps taking my reviews down. They also offered me a refund to take my review down. I cannot post on their faces page anymore. That speaks volumes. Cerebral seemed to be a good fit at first. I don't believe half an hour is long enough for a counseling session but my care counselor was amazing. I had a hurried session with my prescriber. Sent in refill requests before we left for out of town. Only to be told she wouldn't fill anything until our next appointments 5 days later. I had three medications I needed. Being without meds for 5 days is not a good idea. So I had to quickly see my primary to cover my medications. We decided it would be best if I went back to my psychiatrist as I might be too complex for Cerebral. So I wrote to my care coordinator explaining that I wanted to cancel. This was my second care coordinator in a month by the way, which wasn't too reassuring. Although he was very nice. After explaining to me how to cancel, I submitted my request. Not long after I got notified that my prescriptions were sent to my local pharmacy. Very odd. I checked with my care coordinator. He said to check with the pharmacy as to why they don't have them ( as the pharmacy had no refills) I replied back that I was under the impression that she wasn't filling anything until my appointment. I got a response back that I was right. Nothing was sent to the pharmacy. And nothing to be filled until my appointment. In summary if you have a more complex mental illness, this isn't the place to go. It seemed like a good idea as I was waiting for new insurance after switching employment. I got conflicting and confusing information. Which isn't very reassuring. Again, my counselor was great. I'll be going back to my trusted doctors.

Worst company ever!!!! They are about taking your money and not providing care or service. I had 3 different counselors within months and had to start over with my journey. They messed up medications. They charged me and charged me. This company is a scam as far as I'm concerned. They should be shut down. They took my money and took my mental health as a joke. It's scary to think that people worse off than me seek help and could rely on them. Since this article they have refunded me some of the money which helped but doesn't fix the damage already done. It does show they care enough to try though so I'll take it.

I started using Cerebral in September '21. My initial experience was very positive: I had an excellent prescriber visit, everything was scheduled fairly quickly, and my Care Coordinator - Emily - was amazing. After following up after my first 30 days, my prescriber felt that they should get a 2nd opinion from a colleague with more psychiatric training and I was referred to another prescriber. This prescriber cancelled my appointment the day it was scheduled and said that they weren't licensed to prescribe in my state. Thankfully, my coordinator set me up with someone else just a few days later. Unfortunately, after meeting with this 3rd prescriber, they read my notes and said they were also confused about why I'd be scheduled to meet with them as they have no different credentials or training than my initial prescriber, and they cancelled my appointment. So ~3 months in, I haven't really received much in the way of treatment and actually meeting with a prescriber has been really difficult. However, Stefanie reached out to me directly to apologize and make things right. I didn't expect that and they did return some of the money spent on my subscription given that I'd not really been able to utilize the service fully. Might try again in the future, but for now I'll just resort to traditional in-person visits at a psychiatrist's office.

I paid the entire amount my first month, nothing was actually the low price it advertised. I was also cut off from sessions as my card had to be reordered and was quoted two different prices for the extra services needed. The “care” coordinator was a joke. The therapist was great and the NP was great. I would continue with them, but not through the greediness of cerebral praying on those trying to get help and fight barriers and limitations to treatment.

So far I am not pleased. We got a discount on the first month - $14.50, medication was 10.00- they supposedly accepted my insurance. I signed up for Cerebral thru a recommendation from my fiancé. We accidently signed up for the wrong plan. She asked, what the cost of switch was, they said any plans would be 29.99 after the first month! I'm thinking this is fantastic! Then I get a charge on my HSA card for $296! What! No explanation I get a "Hi I am sorry for the confusion. The cost for Medication and therapy is $325 a month". And then it continues down, to all of their plans that they have available, none of which are $29.99.. Days later, still not getting an explanation!

Cerebral really helped me during a dark period of my life. Having virtual appointments and easy access to communicate with my team made all the difference. I was able to get my prescriptions mailed to my home and get the care I needed without ever having to leave my house. They provide different exercises to help grow and monthly assessments to see where you are and how you feel.

Updated review. Well, just when I thought things couldn't get any worse with this "service" it did. First let me start by saying that I work in customer service. Every day I set out to help people resolve issues. People come in angry or frustrated and at the end of the exchange they are thanking me for my kindness and personal care. It's not really that hard! And I work in tech, so it has nothing to do with mental health. The customer service with Cerebral is probably the worst of any I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They are completely disorganized, and send contradictory messages through the chat. One minute "your medication has been sent to the pharmacy" and then then two days later when I'm completely out of medication I get a message saying that I need to make a provider appointment to get a refill. This is the second time this has happened. Not to mention in my last provider appointment I was told that I would not need a follow up next month to receive my Rx. Now that I find out that was untrue I will have to wait days to get the 15 minute appointment for a refill. This "Expert Help For Your Emotional Health" service has literally caused me more anxiety than I had before I signed up. If I could give zero stars, I would. Complete lack of follow through, horrible, delayed, contradictory communication. I would not recommend this to ANYONE.
