BEWARE OF USING THIS APP, it’s seriously like getting into bed with some greasy lawyer who’s out to rip you off. First off, they charge 30 dollars almost immediately before you even fully know if it’s something you want, making it seem like they won’t charge for a week. THEN you email them constantly asking to cancel your account, you fill out their stupid extra form, get the run around and ignored, then after that they charge you another 85 dollars right before your rent is due. The kicker is that I’ve been trying to cancel this nightmare for the last 26 days. This is an absolute cash grabbing SCAM. Do not fall for it. If you did get help great but it’s only a matter of time before they rip you off.

I definitely recommend Cerebral as a next step to take care of your mental health. There are several therapists you can choose from depending on what you are looking for and their qualifications (Becky is great!). Scheduling is incredibly easy, the fact that it's virtual makes it convenient and accessible, you can message your therapist or a care coordinator, and there are weekly resources that help with reflection. The only drawback is having to figure out mental healthcare with my insurance, but that would be true for any mental healthcare - Cerebral is one of the most affordable places I found, which is helpful since I have to pay out of pocket (but can pay with my HSA).

Update 11/14/2021 They actually reached out to me and refunded my money. A representative reached out to me and notified me of the refund, and apologized for the experience that I had. I have given them an extra star for correcting the situation. **This was my INDIVIDUAL experience with CEREBRAL** I am making it a mission to help people to not trust this service. Like many others have said, this service only cares about how much money they can squeeze out of you. I am bipolar and I left my previous psychiatrist, because he was unable to help me. Desperate, as a result, I came to Cerebral. I paid the fees and ended up paying around 50 dollars for a psychiatric evaluation and medication. The evaluation was not rushed, but I knew that the provider was not really paying attention to my concerns. He prescribed a new medication for mood stabilization (which I was okay with), but refused to give me a prescription for my anxiolytic medication (Cerebral states that they will re-prescribe a medication that the patient is currently taking, granted the prescription is from no longer than 3 months ago. I even took picture of all my meds to confirm and it got lost in the fray), because he wanted me to "try" another medication. As someone who has been struggling with bipolar disorder for the last 4 years, I have brief knowledge of what meds work with my body and mind. So how could someone deny me something that I have a complete justification for? It's atrocious that the provider refuses to listen and work with the client. Especially, if that person is in danger and severe mental distress. So seeing as I was not going to get the help I needed and required. I cancelled my subscription which ends on the 11/25. Today is 10/29. All my appointments got cancelled and I am unable to access my account. So as soon as I refuse to pay, I get shortchanged? Disgusting. So like any rational person, I tried to reach out and messaged them on the app and portal. I got short brief responses that further exacerbated my situation. So I tried calling them, it took a week to finally get through the automated responses and get in touch with a friendly service representative, her name was Kim and she was wonderful. She listened to me more than the doctor. She explained everything as well ad it eased my anxiety a bit. I wish this service on no one, especially if you're someone with debilitating mental health issues. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE COST AND KNOW YOUR RIGHTS AS A PATIENT. It is ideal for you to defend yourself. Know what you need and understand your condition before taking a shot in the dark.

Trust me when I say that all the positive reviews in here are made by cerebral. They even sound phony and fake. This place is a scam and will take your money! I threatened them with my bank coming after them and they finally agreed to a full refund. Still haven’t received the funds. I will be suing them

HORRIBLE! If I could give a negative 5 stars I would. I was recommended by a friend who has a wonderful experience so I decided why not. I go onto the website and it asked me what membership I wanted. So I did the promotion at $30. I ended my card information to be billed in the future. What they don't tell you is that you will be charged right than and there before you even proceed to answering the questions. So I started answering the question and I think it was question #4, it asked if there were heart condition in the family before the age of 54. I answered yes as my father had a heart attack at 50(he survived) but my maternal grandfather has a heart attack at 49 and unfortunately did not survive. so since I answered yes to that question it told me not to move forward that the program was not meant for me. Ok no big deal there are others. So I called and explained the situation and was told that I need to fill out a cancellation request. ok did that, money still was taken out of my bank account. I called back to ask for a refund and was told that they do not offer refunds on services provided. OK WHAT SERVICE WAS PROVIDED, NOTHING WAS PROVIDED. I was not able to move forward, I did not speak with a therapist, did not have any resources available to help me, but I cant get refund because in their words " its like a gym membership, people pay but don't go" At this point I was just like ummmmmmmm , you cant compare mental health to a gym membership. I dont think I have ever been more disappointed in a company who is suppose to be "supportive". Makes no sense what do ever, after trying to get my point across, they compromised and said they would only refund 50%, $15 is better than $0 but that's not even the point. The point is if a service wasn't provided you can charge someone for answering questions. If you do proceed, proceed with caution because it seems they are out to make a quick buck!

I didn’t think therapy would benefit me. I did a lot of my own reading about personal issues. I was familiar with 12 step philosophies and identified as an adult child of an alcoholic. But that’s truly as far as I ever got. I limped through life. My mom passed in March and I fell apart. It was devastating, esp since I had also lost my brother and father within just a few years prior. I looked up Cerebral. I think I just followed a link and I filled out my information and answered questions. It was easy and , honestly, a relief. I was able to be helped almost immediately. I needed help with my sleep before I could even think about wading through my grief. Therapists and counselors I spoke with understood that. We zero’d in on my sleep patterns and and anxiety. It’s literally a different world when you can sleep. Having everything online makes help accessible and flexible. My therapist is amazing. She focused in on my core issues quickly and made gentle suggestions and observations. She is my biggest cheerleader and it’s amazing. Truly, amazing. I look forward to doing the work she guides me through. I am so grateful. Everyone can benefit from therapy. It’s a gift I am so glad that I gave myself.

I payed over 100 dollars for medication and services and was never informed I needed ID before paying for this treatment. So far all I've received is automated responses about how there are no refunds, even though I was not given the proper information before signing up, over 3 hours waiting for a representative, and no refund. All the reviews on here look so fake its not even funny. I mean, look at the titles, they all look like a PR team sat around to find out how to make their money grabbing scheme more reputable. These people do not care about your mental health. Don't trust this service, use another service, but not this one.

Convenient, all in one, instead of waiting to be evaluated for medication, then the wait for therapy. Medication was sent straight to my door, with no worry of refills. Definitely the best kept secret to mental healthcare
