I do not recommend this company, here is why: I needed immediate help at the beginning of September 2022. I spoke with my insurance company and they confirmed that Cerebral would be covered. I signed up for Cerebral, adding in my credit card information. You cannot enter in your insurance information without first being charged by Cerebral for that month. Cerebral informed me that my insurance was out of network and they would not bill my insurance company. I got to work finding someone else that could help me. Finally finding a therapist I could afford that accepted my insurance, I started to work on my problems. I was suffering from severe, dangerous levels of depression and did not realize that I never actually canceled my subscription with Cerebral, only spoke about it with the support team. I was only concerned with finding the help I needed. Thinking that Cerebral would be understanding because of the type of company they are, I emailed them to ask if my money could be refunded. I did not use any of their services, yet I was told that a full refund is not possible. They stated that a refund for the current month would be issued, but even then, they only gave back $245 when the amount I paid was $325, with no explanation other than to read the fine print. I did not use the services with Cerebral because I could not afford them, now I am being charged for 3 months anyway. It is difficult and embarrassing to write this publicly, but I desperately need my money back. I need it to pay for the services that I can actually afford and pausing treatment right now could be dangerous for me. I would feel much differently about this situation if this was a makeup subscription box, or even a monthly “bark box” or something. Instead, this company offers help to those with difficulties and when those difficulties distract you from canceling or reading the fine print, they take advantage of the situation by continuing to bill with no refunds available. When explaining this to the “care team” at Cerebral, Joneca D replied saying, “Unfortunately, this is not valid for escalation to our management.” The conversation was vague and Joneca was disinterested the entire time. These “polices” need to change. Taking advantage of people looking for help is unacceptable. Please do not make the mistake I did and I hope you won’t work with this company.

To start a morning talking to my counselor what a great way to start my week. I love my counselor. She is attentive listens and it feels so good just to talk about things in general. And I have a psychiatrist who approves my medication. This was the first time I tried counseling over my phone and it’s so convenient and the ladies who work with me are wonderful. This is the new phase of mental health care. Highly recommended.

Great communication, the team helps in whatever way they can weather it be a technical issue or a communication issue.
