I owe them some money because they have not billed my insurance correctly, I have literally talked to them 5 times over 6 months about this, they swear it has been voided out, but it’s still there. I can’t message my provider, I can’t make appointments, I can’t check in, I can’t check in, I admit I have mental health issues, mental disorders, this is not how you treat someone who needs this service and the meds that go online with it, just block them out with no explanation,

My therapist is ever so compassionate & understanding to my needs. He asks questions I may not be ready to answer, but he walks me step-by-step through each one. Dr. Ricardo Martinez has a special way of guiding me toward issues I need to resolve regarding a broken relationship & is helping me be realistic in matters of emotional conflicts. I always feel relieved after our sessions because I’m getting closer each session toward resolutions, peace & knowing myself better. I am so grateful I found Dr. Martinez! With his guidance the anxiety & depression that afflicted me for a long time has minimized. I’ll never regret seeking help. I have changed into a better version of myself. Thank you! I have been doing therapy and I love it! Was it always this easy? If I knew how helpful it would be, I would have done it much sooner. The medical appointments are a little iffy. The prescriptions get refused by my pharmacy sometimes because they weren't approved by the doc. Then it takes a couple weeks to get an appointment.

Really needs to screen assessment questions better. Im one of the many that moved and was trying to find adhd meds. The information that they do not prescribe controlled substances needs to be front and center because not doing so is a complete waste of time for most. Adhd is treated primarily with controlled substances. Therapy is garbage. No other medications work remotely decently. Id advise you stop advertising you treat it in general. Literally the only reason I looked for a psychiatrist is because primary care doesn't want to prescribe it.

We’re really sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating it can be to seek care for ADHD and not find the treatment option you were hoping for. We recognize that many individuals specifically pursue psychiatric care for medication management, and we appreciate you sharing this feedback. Brightside does provide care for ADHD; however, we do have limitations on prescribing certain medications, including controlled substances. We aim to be transparent about this and include this information on our ADHD and medications pages on our website. That said, we understand your perspective that this information may not have been as clear or prominent as it could be, and we will share this feedback with our team.

Brightside discriminates against the uninsured clients. I lost my insurance (it was cancelled). When I contacted Brightside, they said the only option was a "club" plan. This means that I get four sessions per 30 days for a set price. If I am unable to schedule four sessions, I am still charged for four sessions. No allowance for vacations, illness, or travel. Providing services is not the same as joining a health club. This is discrimination. Only insured clients can be charged per session.

We understand that changes in insurance coverage and scheduling challenges can be frustrating, and we appreciate you sharing your experience. Brightside offers a cash plan designed to provide consistent access to care at a flat monthly rate, which includes up to four sessions within each 30-day period. Clients are able to reschedule appointments as needed during that time. We recognize that circumstances such as travel, illness, or other commitments may impact a client’s ability to use all scheduled sessions. While the plan is not structured as a per-session billing model, we value this feedback and understand how greater flexibility may better meet individual needs.

This company is a SCAM. They are not interested in your mental health. I was charged a total of $194 in fraudulent late cancellation fees. They don't evengive you the option to cancel your appointment on their website. You're only able to reschedule your appointment. The only time you get the opportunity to cancel an appointment is when they send a reminder email. At that point, you're charged a $97 late fee. Funny how those reminder emails come in within the 24 hour cancellation period. The second time they charged this fee was AFTER I had canceled my entire account. Somehow, canceling your account doesn't automatically cancel any appointments you may have. Their contact number is nearly impossible to find on their website. And you're unable to manually delete your payment information from your account. You have to contact them to get it removed. Their customer service is laughable. I've had to initiate payment disputes with my bank and report them to the BBB.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience and the frustration this situation caused. Brightside’s cancellation policy and applicable fees are outlined in our member materials and appointment communications. Members are able to cancel appointments through the appointment reminder notifications, in our portal or by contacting our support team for assistance. Additionally, closing an account does not automatically cancel previously scheduled appointments, so those must be canceled separately. Because we cannot review account-specific details in a public forum, we encourage you to connect with our support team so we can review your concerns and provide further assistance.
