ZenfolioReviews of zenfolio.com

Super easy to set up an absolutely love the interaction for the website building…. I would recommend this site to any person that is looking to set up a photography website

The site itself is easy to use, fits my schedule and it is easy for my customers to navigate

Great system for sharing with clients and categorizing photoshoots.

Since the roll-out of their "archiving" platform, Zenfolio has really gone downhill. Service is below satisfactory. Galleries go missing, images take excessively long amounts of time to load, some images load sideways or upside down. Customer service is non-existent. Terrible company, terrible customer service, terrible experience.

I was a customer of Zenfolio for around 10 years. It was never the best gallery system, it was incredible slow but it was ok, not worth the struggle to reupload all photos to an other gallery service. And than Zenfolio implemented the nightmare called archiving. Galleries are disappearing from your file system and restoring them does not take a few hours, it takes weeks. Ignoring that a gallery where I have to wait 12 hours to see it is worthless to me. During the restoring process, the system had at one point put photos of other photographers in my galleries. Imagine - I had photos of other photographers in my galleries displaying children. What a data protection nightmare. And the customer service was as bad as the development. Zenfolio has become such a disaster. I am glad that I have left, ended my subscription and have found an other gallery serrvice and I can only recommend everyone to follow my example. I do not see a future for Zenfolio after they have screwed up in such a colossal way.

I run my camera club’s website and until now things have been ok. Since archiving our galleries we have experienced all sorts of problems. I raised a ticket 5 days ago but have heard nothing. There is no way of contacting them apart from raising a ticket, not good customer service. It seems like our custom means nothing to them. I think it’s time to look for another website provider. Been with Zenfolio for years. However, since they introduced automatically archiving photos it has become a complete nightmare. Zenfolio sprung archiving on us. I had no idea that my galleries would be archived and that it would be nightmare to recover. What kind of nonsense is that? Some of my galleries are static on purpose. And if you don't use them, then the get archived. What nonsense is that. You only have a limited number of galleries that you can set as "Do not Archive." After that they will disappear into archival land if you don't use them. Just trying to restore some galleries now. We shall see. They say it take up to 12 hours to restore a gallery, but Zenfolio also states that the names of the photographs may not be the same. Why in the world is Zenfolio treating their customers work with such disregard? My work is important for me to display, including my older work. Zenfolio: get rid of archiving or you will lose customers.... Update: I am giving two stars now instead of one star because 7 of 8 galleries in archives have been restored overnight within 12 hours. I am still waiting for the last gallery to restore. I have confidence it will. If Zen gets rid of archiving I will rethink my rating and probably upgrade it. Please get rid of auto archiving. Thank You...

Zenfolio is now utter bilge, dont touch it, please dont touch it. It's on it's last legs, with lies, obfuscation, deflection and ignorance. 60,000 photographs stored there over a decade of use, and now i cannot do anything quickly. So yourself a favour, look elsewhere for a online photo storing service, as it was, and never will be again, Zenfolio
