Claiming recent logistical issues is all well and good, but one would expect at least when you’ve been sent the item that the business gives notice for it as it sent – not four days after it gets delivered to a random address a mile away! Really poor experience with WD. Maybe you should shop Seagate if you’re reading this.

Absolutely appalling service and quality of product. After waiting 3 weeks for a hard drive to be delivered, it was unusable. I tried everything to get it to connect to my computer and nothing, until one final attempt, it started flashing fast and appeared on my desk top. I quickly attempted to erase it, which failed, as the hard drive jumped off again, never to be found. I attempted to return the product through the RMA service, which means nothing to me, I wish companies would not use acronyms on the public. Anyway, I've registered the RMA, not aware what happens next, but only have 30 days, which doesn't fill me with hope having waited 21 for it to be delivered.

Schlecht…schlechter WD Ich habe mir eine teuere my Book Festplatte mit Verschlüsselung gekauft und dachte das mach ich besser mal beim Hersteller direkt. Den Aufpreis ist es mir wert. Das Ergebnis: 1. Festplatte kommt bereits defekt an 2. Support wusste erstmal nicht weiter Chat bricht ständig ab wenn man die gewünschten Angaben zusammen sucht 3. Ich brauche die Festplatte dringend und ich will direkt einen Umtausch. Das geht aber nicht weil ich leider nicht innerhalb von 14 Tagen sondern von 18 Tagen mich gemeldet hab… 4. ich will direkt eine neue Platte kaufen und dann einfach das Geld wieder haben, da fängt der Mitarbeiter ab was von nem Gutschein zu erzählen. Was soll ich mit nem Gutschein ? 5. ich hab aufgegeben und habe eine Platte eines anderen Hersteller wo anders gekauft ( lief alles super und war auch noch billiger und funktioniert) was bekomme ich ? Einen 15 Euro Gutschein als Entschädigung, das Geld wird man mir dann nach Bearbeitung schicken. Ich wundere mich weil es ja kein Geld sondern Gutschein geben sollte. War wohl ein Missverständnis. 6. Ein Monat ist nun rum und ich habe einen 15 Euro Gutschein erhalten und warte immer noch auf meine Erstattung von der ich noch keinen Cent gesehen habe 7. auf zwischenzeitliche Beschwerden ist nix passiert Ich kaufe nie wieder im WD Store und ganz sicher auch Knie wieder eine Western Platte, mir sind vorher schon mehrere mobile wie stationäre Platten kaputt gegangen ohne das ich damit schlecht umgegangen wäre, im Gegenteil eine war eine reine Regal Festplatte. Das war mal so eine gute Marke

I would really advise consumers just to buy off amazon regardless if the price is a little more. Dealing directly with companies such as Western Digital is an absolute joke in 2022. 1 month after order and nothing. No contact, tracking doesnt work and they never respond to emails. 3 of which i sent and none been responded. So to clarify, in 2022 you order with Western Digital and the products are shipped from Netherlands to UK. Items from China come within 9 days. As i said, consumers should avoid buying from them directly UPDATE Since the order of my placement (march 7th) they have contacted me four times after i have requested to refund my item. In which the email stated on all four there was a change in the shipment. Since, i have had four different tracking numbers, and the last showing to be delivered in NL. When im actually in the UK. Absolutely clueless this company. Paypal involved. Im shocked Western Digital wont even cancel my order when everything has been in a reasonable time frame. 1 month and still ongoing

Horrible customer service, been trying to get a return label from them for weeks now. Was supposed to send back a faulty hard drive back to US with my cousins, they came and left a whole week ago and i still dont have a return label. If zero stars was an option I'd choose tht!

Disgraceful cowboys. I ordered a 2tb SSD for 189.99 euros. Good value but QLC so might not have the longest lifetime but for a PS4 pro anyway. Three weeks ago. Anyway after a week, no sign of it contrary to delivery guidance. Contacted them and they suggested there was a major delay. Advised that I wanted it urgently and could I cancel and order elsewhere. At this point, it should be noted, payment had already been taken and my bank account debited. They said that they requested cancellation and once approved, I would be refunded. Two days later, the transaction had disappeared, I was advised the order was cancelled and my bank account replenished with the 189.99. Anyway, was happy enough. I had a number of payments I had to make in the following week but knew that I would still have 170 euros in before payday came. So, yesterday evening I decided to go to the new batman movie with my nephew. I wanted to treat him and went to buy the tickets. To my horror and embarrassment, my card declined. I logged into my online banking and a full week after refunding me, they had charged me again and said that they couldn't cancel it in time. So I was overdrawn and my nephew had to buy both tickets. This morning, my account was charged by the bank for being overdrawn. These f#####g cowboys refuse to take any responsibility saying it's regrettable but it's their process that if they can't cancel in time they can't refund. So I don't have the device and I'm waiting way longer than the timescale. Unwilling to help. This is a huge brand. A massive name in HDDs and ssds. I can't believe how poor their customer service was and is. I'll never buy anything from them or manufactured by them again. Stay away or if you are buying their stuff by third party. Kundenservice unterirdisch. Ich warte seit 10 Tagen auf eine Festplatte. Einmal kam eine Info nach Rückfrage meinerseits. Danach nichts mehr. Einfach nur lächerlich.

How I wish I had looked here before purchasing an item from this bunch of charlatans. In brief my issue echoes almost all of the issues on here. Purchase item Item fails at less than 6 months old under warranty Refused refund as they only offer refund on items less than 30 days old Return item for exchange under RMA Hear nothing Chase them up to be told item is unavailable Offered alternative Alternative takes 10 days to arrive I fear for the people who work for them as they must be losing customers hand over fist Losing customers = loss of revenue = loss of jobs
