Helaas moet ik mij aansluiten bij alle negatieve revieuw. Ben er helaas te laat achter gekomen wat een waardeloos product het is. Heb een probleem met mijn wachtwoord maar er is geen enkele oplossing voorhanden. gelukkig opent de schijf nog wel op mijn laptop maar op een andere laptop wordt hij niet geopend ondanks een correct ww. WAARDELOOS DUS.

Never order on western digital store. You will never receive your product… Even you mentionned right address and phone…they will point that UPS is not able to find your address and cannot call you… Then they say that the product is sent back to Western digital…the fact is that you never receive the. Product and they lock your money for nearly 2 month What a shame for such a company

I purchased one of their Passport drives for external automatic backup expecting a fit and forget experience. I fitted it but it forgot to do the backups despite being properly installed. It gave no warning so I was oblivious to the fact that my system was unprotected. Eventually I discovered it but the backup support from WD was hopeless. I decided that the probelm might be lack of capacity so I bought a bigger and more modern Passport Ultra ( more fool me for trusting WD ) and once again after working for a few months the same happened and I only discovered a year later that it was full. It should have automatically deleted older backups to free up space but had failed o do so. There is an option within their software to delete files manually but all it did was to spends hours cycling around saying that it was deleting files but actually doing nothing. I left it running for 24 hrs thinking it was just slow but no joy. Once again WD support is absolutely hopeless. Lots of techno jargon but no solutions. Save your money and your sanity and steer well clear of Western Digital.

WD are the worst in the business, customer support is non existent. Don't buy WD go somewhere else and save yourself the heartache.

Western Digital are Thieves and Shysters 😡 They take your money and you get nothing for it. You can't get in touch with anyone, their contact facility is unusable. They have no intention of playing fair, they steal from you, Blatantly 😡

Ordered a hard drive and over a month later still not received, no response from company. Received an email invoice asking for more money for shipping, despite the website saying it was all calculated at checkout. Nobody responded when I asked about it. Even when opened a case on PayPal, they did not respond. Non existent customer service. You will not hear anything. PayPal settled the case in my favour. Make sure you have buyer protection however you pay. Shop elsewhere. I have now deliberately purchased from seagate as I want to be a backer of good service and a conscious consumer and support the people who have good ethics.

seit einem jahr schlage ich mich mit einer 5tb externen festplatte herum und diese funktioniert einfach nicht! ich habe mehrmals mit der firma telefoniert aber kein positives resultat. sisyphos arbeit: sehr frustrierend & ärgerlich!!! der kunden service ist zwar nett allerdings taugen meiner meinung wd produkte nichts. nicht zu empfehlen! wd gab keine kullanz an geldrückgabe, sondern nur einen gutschein, wo man wieder wd produkte kaufen muss.

I bought the 16tb version. I was offered a five year warranty. The external ports became faulty after one year, probably because of a loose 3tb connection. So I sent the drive back in November last year. First, Western Digital could not replace the drive. Secondly, after 4 weeks, they offered me a 24tb drive as a replacement. I thought 'great.'. This never materialized. Third, they offered me a refund. This has never materialized either. In short, I am standing to lose nearly eight hundred quid down the shoot. Western Digital then said they would refund before the end of January this year. This never happened. I have recently been told, now, in Feb, six to eight weeks to process a refund. As a result of Western Digital, stalling, and stalling, and stalling over a refund, I am now going to have to go to the small claims court, to try to force them to refund me for faulty goods. You have been warned!!!
