My dog broke her ankle really bad and this helped
My dog broke her ankle really bad to the point of permanent ligament damage and she will probably be on a style of brace like this forever. I did alot of research and decided to try this one first as it was on sale and looked really solid. At first she loved it first day goes by she smells seaty and shes developing blisters under the straps and theyre cutting off circulation to her toes which made them super swollen so we actually added some of the spare foam to each of the straps about 1/2 inch wider than each strap to provide better pressure distribution and drilled some holes so air could get in also have been wrapping her leg in cotton and now shes been walking on it ever since with some minor kinks (adjusting it and changing it everyday) of coarse. But i dont think she would be happy right now if i didnt find this brace. She's a very energetic dog and those big heavy splints just didnt work for her as they were actually causing her patella to pop out which caused her pain. Just overall very glad i found this product! Although i will probably need to get a new one or 2 soon as her straps are getting worn out.
