this is the worst company to use in fl and find the company hard to deal with have had it for 30+ years and now need a change as this company sucks. can not find a doctor in ormond beach fl that will take this pos ins. get away run find a useful insurance

Worst customer service. Every time I need to make a call, they at least transfer 3 lines and ask me for the member ID, DOB and Name at least 6 times (including automated robot response between transfer lines). Each time it took about 40 minutes to 2 hours of call time to resolve any issues.

If only I could give a zero. This insurance is terrible. Colorado Doctors Plan is hardly accepted in Denver. Great physicians won’t accept them because reimbursement is such a headache. Customer service is the absolute worst. I asked for a list of in-network urgent care facilities in my area and most of them are private who charge a flat entry fee of nearly $200 just to walk in the door because they are not actually in-network. When I called member services they insisted there were only two in-network facilities. One was an urgent care for pediatrics. The other was Bozeman Health UrgentCare (only a PO Box address in CO) which, as I suspected, is only in Montana. I tried to tell the person and she asked if I wanted to continue waiting on hold (for Bozeman) all while the automated waiting messaging was going on loudly over her voice and I could hardly understand her. I said no, I need an urgent care in Colorado. She left the call and transferred me to the Bozeman waiting line. I couldn’t believe it. What’s more infuriating is the UHC website list of current providers is grossly outdated. The first 6 primary care doctors I selected all no longer worked (retired) or changed locations and now out of network. The last one I had them make all the phone calls until they found a legit, eligible, available PCP is so old and outdated in his systems that I can’t get an appointment until I can find a fax machine and fax the documents (some links broken on their site) downloaded from their insecure (no https) website. It’s just ridiculously hard to get quality care and be able to actually use this insurance. The screwed up thing about all this is that it was the MOST expensive plan my employer offered which made me assume it would enable me to get the best care. Not. True. What you pay for is not aways what you get. Go with Kaiser if you’re willing to have poorly educated doctors but ease of care. Otherwise, God only knows if there’s a better more widely accepted insurance provider in Colorado.

Well I can not access my account on line. The numbee they have for me to unlock account is wrong so cnat get code. I called 1st time on hold for 45 minutes. Talked to lady I barely could understand. after another 15 minutes on phone with her we somehow got disconnected (not on my end). They verified the number I was calling from so she could have called back. I then called the number given to unlock my account and they couldnt help me so gave me another number. I am not on hold for over one hour and a half. I have been dealing with this for over 4 hours and still no help. Worst customer service I have ever seen. All I want to do is to sign into my account as they keep saying on the voice message I have been listening to for over an hour.

I have my 95 year old mother’s power of attorney and I stupidly enrolled her in this ripoff company’s advantage plan. I have never hated an insurance company as much as I hate these people. For one year straight they charged her for both the advantage plan and medicare supplement. I had to file a complaint with our state’s Insurance Commissioner to get them to refund her. They constantly harass her with mailings for an in home visit with bribery of giving you a Visa card if you do. Can you believe this? I have called and written numerous times to stop and they persist bordering on harassment. Don’t consider this company for healthcare. You will be sorry. Next week I hope to enroll her with a decent company that respects her wishes and realize she has a doctor and she is healthy for her age and she doesn’t need one of their preying in home visits. They need to back off.

I just spent an hour on the phone with a UHC representative. I felt like I was talking to someone who was hammered on something. I didn't yell, I didn't scream, the only thing I mentioned was that from my experiences with UHC, I definitely would deem them the Dollar Store of Medical Insurers. The woman on the other end of the phone was getting so irate that before putting me on hold she said, "I don't like you talking to me in vorocative language." I told her to hold on and I Google the word "vorocotive, which isn't a part of any language on Earth. I told her this and asked her what planet she was from. She put me on hold! And I hung up.

The customer service is terrible. They do not know what they are doing with their jobs. I went through appeal with them. They are confused about whether it is covered or not covered by that insurance. The insurance changed to a new doctor for me which I did not request. The new doctor's customer service is awful. I am fed up with them. UHC is the worst health insurance I ever had. I will change to new health insurance soon.

My first time applying trying to get dental insurance and there customer service was rude in any event , My plan starts in January . I spoke to several different people and no one contacted me to the right person. I will be disenrolling .I am not signing up with no insurance company who shown ME nothing but poor representation You sent will be canceling this plan professionalism is not there customer service is rude and I will be sending this dental card back 😡👎👎 Write to UnitedHealthcare
