Hi Vickie! To unlock the max speed of 20mph, Hold down the accelerator and brake. Push down the power button 10 times. You will hear a beep when it unlocks. Sometimes, you may need to do this 2- 3 times before it works. You can also repeat the process of locking the scooter. Additionally, if you are a Unagi All-Access member, please get in touch with customer support to have your scooter serviced. It sounds like the speed changes you mentioned may need to be looked at.
