I rushed into Ulta one afternoon to pick up a tube of Benefit's Big Easy BB Cream. It took me a long time to find the almost-perfect foundation for my face and it's all I use. I couldn't find it and I was told Benefit had discontinued it and "replaced" it with "Pore Professional". I was disappointed, but did a quick color check and bought it as I was in a hurry. Well, it is certainly not a replacement. Very drying, NO SPF coverage, etc. etc. I went online to Benefit to get more information only to find "Big Easy" had NOT been discontinued - Ulta just quit carrying it. The Ulta clerk told me very specifically that Benefit had discontinued making it. Flat out lie in order to get me to buy a product I cannot use. Back to Sephora for me. I won't buy from Ulta again. Ever.

I went into the ulta in Howell New Jersey today. A woman who worked there started helping me after eyeing me down, along with all the other associated there. They watch you and make you feel like a thief. She knew nothing about the products . I used to work at ulta so I know the deal. But she was uneducated . And wasn't listening to what I was saying and wanted . Please hire knew people with more experience

I've always had my hair done by the same person, like seriously while she was on maternity leave I didn't get anything done because I simply don't trust other people with my hair. As much as I love her I won't be continuing to use her because she's now an ULTA Beauty employee. Not because her quality went down but because their charge for services is a load of bull. Every company knows in order to attract and retain good employees they have to offer a good wage and promotions which generally also come with raises. Well ULTA likes to promote their salon employees which is fantastic but it's at the consumer cost. Whenever your stylist gets a promotion you can count on your prices to go up too. Retaining good employees is the cost of doing business and comes out of the bottom line not the putting it all back on the consumer. So last week a service would cost X but she got promoted again this week, which good for her, but now she makes more money and ULTA doesn't want to fork out the extra dough so this week the price becomes X*1836n. Not because they're doing anything new or special or haven't learned a different skill they just are moved to the next pay scale and commission scale basically. You can't even budget or figure out your costs because one week it's X and next week it's Y.

I had ordered something online from Ulta during a sale and it never arrived. I was first told I would get a refund to buy the products at full price then call back and get refunded the difference so they would still honor the sale price. After being put on hold I was then told that the sale price I paid can only be honored for one item (I purchased 2 Paul Mitchell hair serums for $10 each instead of $28) so they would give me $28 instead of $20. This was still not honoring the sale price as I would only be getting an $8 discount instead of $18. She insisted this was honoring the sales price and wouldn't offer any other solutions. I was then sent a $22 egift card-not even the amount promised!! When I called back I got someone equally as uninterested and insincere telling me that was "above and beyond" what they are supposed to do. They will not even refund the amount to my credit card as I am no longer interested in giving them my business, so now I am forced to purchase one of the two items I had ordered with a whopping $8 discount instead of $18. The worst part is they made it seem like it was my fault my order never arrived and they were doing me a favor for refunding my money and not honoring the price I paid or just sending me a replacement. I will be shopping exclusively at Sephora from now on

very unprofessional. Called me at 7 pm the NIGHT before my daughter's graduation to cancel the appointment . Didnt even give me enough time to try and find someone else to do ger hair and makeup. I will never use this place again. They almost ruined my daughter's graduation

I went to a nearby Ulta in Tupelo, MS to make a few purchases and get the free gifts included in my purchase. I shop at this Ulta frequently and have a lot of friends that work there in the salon. I bought roughly $50 worth of product and was supposed to receive three free gifts. After checking out, I asked twice about these gifts to get a "nah you don't get that stuff" from the lady at the register. I told her I could pull up on my phone where I saw the ad, but she called another lady over to get her to handle the gifts. She said she didn't know how to check them out. The new lady then told me that none of my purchases qualified for any free items. I showed her, in the Ulta app, where they did. She gave me one of the free items, but not the other two. She still refused to agree with what I had just shown her in the app and instead said this particular store didn't do free gifts... after she had just given me one. I called customer service after this disaster and they were horrified. They sent me a gift card and urged me to go back to the store to get my free items. Customer service was the only good thing about this experience as they were extremely helpful and concerned with the in store treatment I received. UPDATE: I went back today 5/25/17 to get the free products that came with my original purchase. This time I spoke with the manager about the issue and showed her my receipts, my feedback from customer service, and the original Free Gift with Purchase sale on the Ulta app. I thought this would be a simple process but it was far from that. The manager was rude and seemed extremely bothered by the fact she would have to give me these free items. To make a very long story not so long- she gave me two free things, one of my choice since they were out of the original gifts. This exchange could have gone far better than it did. Retail work is difficult and she could have been really going through something today. I have no idea. I just know that after this first world problem 'ordeal' I'll do my shopping at Sephora.

I shopped at the Ulta in Tucson, Az Harrison and 22nd St on Sat. May20,2017. I love Ulta it is a fun place to shop and there are always great sales. In general all the salespeople are nice and helpful but I wanted to especially commend Sienna. She was so helpful in finding products and making recommendations of things to try that weren't high ticket items. I could tell she loves her job and made my experience very pleasant. Great job Sienna and great job Ulta for hiring her. Eileen Bushway

I'm so addicted to this store, it's ridiculous! Everything about this store is amazing! I can't say enough good things!
