Love ulta bad had a bad experience at the Benton, Ar one today. Th cashier was very rude. I have been a platinum member for quite some time and had built up cash points of 12$ since I last redeemed... I went to check out and she wasn't friendly from the start then I told her I had cash reward and she said she added it but the total stayed the same, I said nothing changed and she was like well I added it and I was like okay well can you show me where the 12$ was deducted and she couldn't so she had to readjust not even apologizing for being rude. Also, I got an email that said I got something free with a purchase and she said they weren't doing that there. I was like oh okay landmark left it at that. Very bad experience from the blonde cashier Ulta Benton....

I've gone into ulta a couple of times, but staff if always rude towards me, and when I ask for help none of them want to help me so I've just stopped going there I occasionally order from ulta.com, but that's about it.

I will not return to Ulta for hair color again. My hair was processed multiple times in an attempt to correct the stylist's mistake on trying to bring the balayage up to closer to my roots. After applying the developer and 2 rounds of toner, my hair was still yellow and brassy. There were several "hot spots" around my scalp- some areas where just blobs of developer were dropped so random yellow/blonde amid my brown hair. There were also brown patches throughout the blonde! The application was uneven and the color atrocious. I emailed Ulta corporate guest services and they told me to just make an appointment with a different stylist! No "sorry" or "who was it?" or "what happened?" dialogue from them or anything. And the stylist is the salon manager, to boot! During the application of the first toner, she handed me a mirror and it had toner all over it! So I got it all over my hand and gel nails and it started turning my nails brown and it took her about 45 seconds to get a towel wet to hand me to wipe off. Not to mention it got all in my ears (which 3 days later are still red and itching as a result). On top of that, when it came to the second round of toner, she came and asked me what color I wanted to choose! That's HER job to make recommendations based on what is going on with my hair. I went to a different salon altogether and the stylist was appalled at how bad it was and she fixed it. Now my virgin hair has been chemically processed 4 times and looks/feels like straw! Never again, Ulta! At this point I don't even want to go back to shop there for anything! And I've been a top-tier loyalty points shopper there for several years!

BUYER BEWARE - THEY PERMANENTLY DAMAGED MY HAIR In August I went into this location to buy shampoo. I was approached by a stylist who recommended that I should get a Brazilian Blow Out. I scheduled an appointment. Later, I changed my mind and called to cancel. The day after, the stylist called me to demand why I had cancelled. I felt pressured into rescheduling. 15 minutes before the appointment, WHILE I WAS IN THE PARKING LOT, the stylist called to make sure I was coming, saying I was late. I advised him I was possibly mistaken about the time, but I thought it was in 15 minutes and I would be right in. I specifically asked two questions: First, I asked how long it would take. He said 2-3 hours. I asked if it would effect my PERMANENT HAIR COLOR. Not temporary PERMANENT. He said it would not. Well over 4 hours later (and after 10pm) he was finished. At the service I observed him apply too much heat for too long. He went over each strand of hair 7-10 times with the flat iron set at 450 degrees. I watched the color leech from my hair with the excessive heat. I could smell the product burning into my hair. I was left with splotchy patches of faded color. Afterward, I noticed a very bad smell. I commented and he said it would go away after I washed it. Two weeks and several washes later, the smell remained. I contacted the store to advise of the issue. They refunded the purchase but made no offer to fix the color and smell. I waited for their regional manager to contact me to resolve the issue and after several days a "claims" rep called me from another company. She said go ahead and go to a different salon and get your hair color treated and we will settle afterwards. I did. I got my hair treated to strip the smell and to correct the color. The smell was not removed. It is permanent damage. It has been two weeks and that rep doesn't read or return my emails, she doesn't return my calls, she hardly ever answers the phone and when she does she always has to "call back later" but never does. IT'S BEEN 6 WEEKS AND THEY HAVE OFFERED NO COMPENSATION OR ADVICE ON HOW TO FIX THE DAMAGE They do not care. They foisted me off on a "claims rep" right away and made no effort to fix this huge customer service crash.

I have made a few purchases from ULTA online and not had an issue. But I visited the new store that just opened in Dublin, Ohio and was amazed at how little customer support they offer. Lots of employees milling around and not one of them so much as smiled at me or asked if they could help me find anything. I was there for 20 minutes looking a bit lost and never caught the attention of a single employee until I checked out. I saw people in front of me receiving free gifts and, in spite of spending over $100, no one mentioned a thing to me. Honestly, I felt like I was an uninvited guest at a private club. Definitely NOT a welcoming experience. I'm returning two of the four items I purchased and will not return.

Ulta always has great sales and free gifts with 100s of brands. I love being able to shop for my cheap makeup while being able to shop for my expensive necessities. Its definitely more convenient and they have such a variety. I also love that you can test all the product before purchasing it.

Las Colinas location!!! No one helped me... walked around for a good 20min. I was there to buy and needed a match on foundations. The employees would just look at me and look away. Finally I had to ask for assistance. At the register the cashier was super rude! When I asked for my free gift she rolled her eyes! Then came back and said we don't have any more ??? I told her they needed to take sign off she just looked away!?

SHOPPING SEPHORA EXCLUSIVELY NOW! The return policy at this place is robbery! Did you know that if you do not have your receipt, and returning an item within the grace period, they will still only offer the lowest price an item was bought for.....YES.....BOUGHT FOR! (not sale price...) EX: buy a lip gloss for $55.00 some random person comes in and has a $50.00 gift card.....leaves the purchase price at $5.00...... YEP! THATS ALL YOU GET ON A STORE CREDIT- $5.00 I called Ulta to verify.......yup, that is in fact the company policy... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! NEVER EVER WILL WE SHOP THERE AGAIN.
