Do NOT Do Business At Ulta!!
I received a $100 gift card for Christmas and scheduled a hair appointment with a "Master Stylist". I have been letting my hair grow out for years and it WAS very long past the middle of my back. I told her I French braid my hair and just wanted a trim and to even up my bangs and the ends in the back. My mistake was looking at my phone and not watching her! She cut the hair at my temples and above my ears approximately two inches away from my head!! There are two big chunks of hair gone on both sides of my face that will now stick out like clown hair when I braid my hair!! Now, I have to take time to research what my options are on how to deal with this situation. It makes me sick what she did to me. This is the very reason why I haven't been letting strangers touch my hair and the first time I do (in years), she ruins what I have been working to have for years and years. Then, I go searching for a mini-size bottle of conditioner. I get home with it, squeeze the tube literally in half and nothing comes out. I go back to the store, tell them I want a return and they say to put the one I bought back on the shelf and get another one only this time I look inside and all of the bottles were not even half full. I pour some of the contents of another bottle into mine and go to the checkout. While at checkout, I remember that I need some eyebrow makeup. I left my bottle of conditioner at the counter. After deciding on what to buy, the salesperson helping me with eyebrow makeup did a lot swapping and switching around with samples and unopened boxes of what I wanted. I get back up to the counter and noticed that the bottle of conditioner I left with them was now almost empty again. I complained and the cashier called the Manager over who took the bottle somewhere and came back with a full bottle. I get home with the eyebrow makeup and, it too, is empty making me believe the salesperson helping me with that pulled the same old "switcheroo" trick. All of this took place over the course of three days (12/28/22; 12/31/22 and 1/1/23) Needless to say, I won't be back and will be telling everyone I know not to go there. What's even worse is, I do not live where this store is located so I can't go back over there to find the "Master Hairstylist" to confront her about what she did to my hair. I live seven hours away. I decided to go to that store because I was visiting my mother who lived nearby and could go to a store closer to my hometown (later) to finish up the hairstyle I am working towards because the "Master Stylist" put what she did to me (color) in their computer system. That was appealing to me. I am so furious and, hopefully, someone with Ulta will read this and offer some sort of compensation for the damage to my hair and a refund, as well, so I won't have to drive seven hours back to this store.
