I'm another person who would leave ZERO stars if I could. I'm on medicare and medicaid and not using either one because of the synthetic mRNA in so many drugs, all anesthetics, etc. The only thing I used UHC for was to pay my electric bill and buy organic food with the UHC card. As of Jan1, 2026, the card is now only good for OTC DRUGS, which they can shove up their arses! Now the card only works if a sucker SUBMITS to "chronic care", which I could qualify for, but I will not bend over and submit to taking TOXIC drugs to get. COERCION is what I call this, and that's a CRIME! UHC SUCKS!!!

I have spent two hours just trying to order my card which never came in the mail. After wasting my time trying to log in online I then was passed around between bots and people and then eventually just hung up on. I then called the number one of them had given me to call back and the only thing any of them would talk about was about a medical device they were trying to sell me. When I told them I wasn't interested and then without warning I was passed on to automated responses which had nothing to do with vision insurance or getting my card.

United Health care is a joke! Two years ago I had shoulder surgery for a torn labrum. I did therapy and got better. Was back to normal exercise and movement. Within a few months my shoulder started hurting again. My ortho decided to get a new MRI of shoulder and c-spine since those issues can be connected. No problem getting it done and insurance paid. Turns out I have bulging or protruding discs through my entire c-spine with severe narrowing where the nerves come out. I cannot do steroid injections and at the time the pain was not neurological as there is still something wrong with the should as evidenced in the MRI a year ago. Because of this, my doctor and I decided to wait and watch. In the last year, I have seen a chiropractor monthly without fail and have done massage and cupping to aleviate the pain. However, my symptoms have turned neurological now and I have radiating pain and burning in my arm, head and chest from the nerves in my neck. I went back to my PCP who decided it's best to get a repeat MRI to determine how much has changed. Since he knows I can't do injections the plan was to get the MRI and send me to a specialist that won't just push pain management. Guess what??? MRI denied because I haven't had treatment for 6 weeks. What treatment should I have when we don't know what's wrong? How can PT or anyone determine a course of treatment without knowing how bad the problem has begun. Oh and my chiropractor and massage doesn't count as treatment. The real kicker is that my doctor also sent me for a regular xray of my c-spine just to make sure there were no bone problems. Just got my EOB from UHC for that. The hospital charged $1367 for a plain xray. Yes that's ridiculous but that's because I live where there is a hospital/medical care monopoly and a whole entire different problem. UHC didn't hesitate to send it all to my deductible. This xray didn't require prior authorization but cost as much as the MRI that I really need. So now I have 4 more weeks to take meds that don't work just to be able to try again to get approval for the MRI I desperately need in order to get treatment. My annual premiums are over $13000 paid half by me and half by my employer. And healthcare service is denied because they think they know more than the doctor that knows me, sees me and provides care based on my needs and restrictions. They don't! They just get to choose how we are treated because they might have to give up a little of that premium. For the record, I have very little in claims and never even meet my out of pocket max (many years I don't even meet my deductible) - which means they are making money off of me every single year. If you think we don't have socialized medicine, you are wrong! We do....we just still have to pay ridiculous amounts of money for it because insurance decides instead of your doctor!

I've been on the same colitis meds for 2 years or more finally a med that works,but this company is all about the money not its customers health they out of the blue decide to not cover my med so guess who is looking for a much better insurance company one that cares cause you suck United Health.I was lied to from staff.

Always horrible customer service via phone when you pay premiums and the app is not helpful either will be glad when I switch next month to blue cross blue shield I wish I had never switched over to United Healthcare worst mistake ever

This company should not be allowed to be in business. Under Medicare Advantage, they denied a claim for a pet scan for a cancer patient. Funny, they've approved other claims from the same provider, but this one... nope. Taking advantage of seniors should be their motto... especially those with cancer.

When I chose UHC to supplement my Medicare, I was prompted to ensure, through their application, that my PCP contracted with UHC. I was assured she does. On arriving at my annual exam this morning, however, I learned that was not the case. That is a manipulative, deceptive practice.

After dealing with a back injury for 6+ month's and trying everything under the sun, I finally went to see an orthopedic specialist. They ordered an MRI which United healthcare promptly denied. They told me I would need to write a letter with a long list of details and information which I would then need to print and Fax to them. Brilliant piece of BS since nobody has a fax machine anymore. So I paid for a fax ap and sent it to them - crickets. Called and they have no record, sent it again, declined again. Corporate greed like this will be the death of the country, but it will likely be the death of another few million of us first.
