X7 pro - great specs, poor parts
I bought an x7 pro after a lot of research comparing specs and reviews. It was one of 2 that best fit my needs/wants. For about 2 months it was awesome. It was a great first scooter with 3 speed caps to help get used to it. I charged it to full every night after use and before storing for a couple weeks. Then it behaved a little oddly. It was sporadic and I thought maybe it hadn't really fully charged or something. Then it started losing power and turning off spontaneously on my home commute in the afternoon. I called support and left a couple messages. Got a call back, they thought it was possibly a bad battery and would send me instructions to test it. Got that, battery tested fine, so they think it's the controller. Asked about sending me parts to fix myself. I'm not thrilled about this, but watch the video they send. It looks like something I could do, but the video says to replace the shrink tubing protecting the connections with tape. This doesn't seem to me like it would maintain the IP waterproof rating. I ask, they say it's fine. I let them know I'd prefer to replace the shrink tubing. They say they aren't sure what that is and want me to send pictures and video. I say I don't have those and they insist they need it, so I find some on the Internet and send. That's been a couple days ago. I've emailed once more to ask what the plan is and silence. I asked a couple times when to expect the parts and they ignored the question. Not impressed. I don't recommend based on part quality and customer service. If this finally resolves to a working scooter, I may change my mind. It shouldn't be this difficult.
