Fails to fulfill their promises to paying customers
Travelers Insurance fails to fulfill their promises to paying customers. Despite making monthly payments, when it comes time to deliver on coverage as outlined in their policies, they consistently fall short. Personally, I experienced damage to my roof and enlisted two independent companies to assess it, both confirming that the damage should be covered under my existing policy. However, Travelers has evaded responsibility for years, giving me the runaround instead of providing the assistance owed to me.

Travelers is the worst Insurance…
Travelers is the worst Insurance company. They will not honor the premium. I had damage to my 2019 Subaru Outback. The body shop estimate was fair and way lower than a dealer. The adjusters at Travelers refuse to pay mor than 400 dollars for a 2700 dollar repair. My deductible is 500. The rear proximity radar safety system is damaged. Travelers refused to fix it. My body shop is obligated to fix this. What good is a full coverage premium? Travelers is claiming the repair us extravagant. Really? DO NOT USE TRAVELERS INSURANCE.
I'm being treated like crap. First claim I have ever made. Never had a ticket. Backed into concrete bollard that I did not see. I'm being treated like garbage. My car repair shop is being treated like garbage. My car guys are pros! Travelers is the worst. Dont use them!!! Nothing but heartache!!! I would not trust Travelers to insure a toy car. You'd still get ripped off!!

One reason not renew w.Travelers - Leanna P. Olson
Travelers Insurance Review – Leanna P Olson
One reason that I will not renew with Travelers Insurance - "Leanna P. Olson".
She was unprofessional, rude, noncommunicative, dishonest, authoritative and attempted to withhold care on all fronts, even though the insurance of the responsible party was willing to, and did pay. Now that the claim has been settled, I am signing with the competitor insurance (the insurance of the person at fault in this MVA). They were much more professional and did NOT block my ability to obtain necessary (not unnecessary or superfluous) care.
Just one example of the atrocious demeanor of Leanna: I had just seen a doctor as a result of the rear end accident. Leanna called and yelled at me, accusing me of “insurance fraud” in attempting to obtain care that was unnecessary and told me that PRIOR to ANY doctor visit, or for ANYTHING related to the MVA, that I must submit and be approved to see any care provider. She also informed me that she is the sole authority in my obtaining care for the accident. NOTE: I was the victim of a simple rear end accident. I was not seriously hurt but was minimally hurt. I was not looking to sue. I was honest about these things with Leanna. I only wanted some basic care. I was NOT the person responsible, in fact the person at fault was cited as being 100% at fault. So Travelers was not responsible for any bills. But Leanna had to the nucleus of dictatorship. She is a loud-speaking, harsh, controlling person; one that should not be dealing with those who have been involved in accidents. We have enough stress and pain to deal with. We don’t need someone like her to make things absolutely unbearable. Every call with her was this way, so I stopped responding to her assaults and dealt with the “at fault” insurance.

I needed to try to lower my premiums…
I needed to try to lower my premiums due to work being slow and I was quoted where I could save a whopping $10.00 a month on my homeowners insurance by increasing my deductible from $2500 to $5000. That isn't saving anything because I am paying by the month with a $4.00 service charge on top of that. I requested to cancel because I have to cut expenses and if I had to pay a deductible that high then I might as well take out a loan if a repair came up because I am claim free and we all know that if you had to use thr insurance they would just go up on the rates again. Like a lot of people I can't continue to pile money on a credit card every month for a high monthly premium when I need that same money for things like food and utility bills. Unfortunately certain needs have to be met first and when I tried to cancel the policy.. I was argued with by the rep. Just cancel it and if it isn't then I will be calling again. You people aren't my mommy and make me keep the policy with your company!

High rates terrible claim service
Wow the rates are high. We had one claim, a small one at that, on our homeowners policy and they said they would not renew our policy. The claim was literally about $4,000. We have been paying nearly $1,100 per month for home and auto and they refuse to renew over that small of a claim and only the one claim. They are horrible to deal with. They want to take a ton of money in premium but never pay even the smallest of claims. I do not recommend anyone use this company. They are awful.

I would not advise anyone to use this…
I would not advise anyone to use this company for their home insurance. We purchased a home last year in December after inspections and all. After being in the home for 6 or 7 months we started to have some issues and thought well let's call Travels. We only went with this company because we had them for years in Florida without any issues. We filed 4 claims only 2 were paid, meaning we had to take care of everything with the other two claims, which was not a problem because it's not like we can give the house back. Now Travelers sent us a letter stating they want renew us technically because they had to pay out two claims although we've fixed all issues we came across since purchasing the home, even replacing the driveway just to keep the insurance.

Dishonest and Horrible Company
Absolutely horrible and dishonest insurance company. If I could give negative stars I would. Travelers offered me a quote that was a very good premium. I signed up, and the first month was fine. My policy was then CANCELLED out of no where and without any warning. Their excuse was that I did not provide proof of prior insurance. Meanwhile, the notice of cancellation was sent to me AFTER the date of cancellation. I called my prior insurance and asked for a letter of proof, and they kindly gave it to me. I asked them if this would be more than enough for proof of prior insurance and they told me yes, and that Travelers should not need anything else. Well Travelers changed its story again and asked for my prior policy declaration pages stating that my letter wasn’t enough proof. It made no sense. And I knew Travelers was doing this on purpose just so that it can re-rate my premium mid-policy based on my prior insurance. Sure enough, after providing my declaration page because my coverage was being held hostage, my policy was reinstated and three days later my premium was increased by $600 dollars and another $300 for moving to a new house. My monthly rate went from $160 to $290. And now I still have to pay for the days I was insured after reinstatement at the increased premium rate. Even though this increased premium was NOT what I signed up for/agreed to. I cancelled and ended up getting a better quote with GEICO, which gave me the exact same benefits for $150 - no BS, no need for my prior insurance declaration page, no unknown cancellations and premium increases. I will NEVER go with Travelers again and I will definitely never recommend it to others.
