reported negligence of safety measures for a road repair company that was dismissed by the Agent based 3000 mi away with assumption and false data claiming to have seen a video of the incident and guessing the actions of the driver disregarding the irresponsible poorly marked area that was supposed to block entry of the right lane on Circled blvd. and the fact there was a cut out not marked , blocked off with cones , or covered by a solid steel plate that was the width of the lane and 3 feet across an 11 inches deep and at about 15 mph it caused enough damage for it to be considered totaled . The city of Corvallis deferred to the Albany based road repair contract company's coverage which is Travelers and the agent was on the east coast and his determination was greatly flawed as I even sent him the Odot manual of proper procedure in marking construction and the mandated safety protocol . The agent closed the case on assumption and disregarded the companies and the City's responsibility to the safety of the community. He suggested the comprehensive coverage should be adequate to compensate my fathers loss the subject for my next review of the once reliable insurance company , State Farm . The accident was in late August and no resolution to date .

My vehicle was damaged in an accident. The vehicle was repaired at Boston Body Works which charges $60/hour for labor, which is a normal and usual labor rate for body shops in Boston. Travelers only reimbursed me for a labor rate of $40/hour claiming this is an "average labor rate". Travelers admits that the policy contains no such hourly limitation on the labor rate and refuses to state how this average labor rate of $40 was determined or why Travelers would be entitled to reimburse me based on any average labor rate. Travelers didn't inform me of the $40/hour limitation until long after the vehicle was repaired and after many emails and phone calls.

I rented my 2015 VW CC on Turo which is backed by Travelers. The rental guest BURNT OUT MY CLUTCH. To cover up, he asked roadside assistance to tow the car to a FAKE REPAIR SHOP at an apartment complex address. I found my vehicle DESERTED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I immediately made my claim to Turo for vehicle misuse to cover the $3,981 COST OF MY NEW CLUTCH. They DENIED THE CLAIM AND PAID ZERO because my car is over 5 years old.

First of all, we had a problem with a French door that leaked and rotted the bottom of the frame. This was not apparent until we removed the wall to wall carpet that we were replacing. Upon seeing the damage, we contacted Travelers Insurance, and were given a site to find a Contractor for repair in our area. This revealed the fact that they have ABSOLUTELY NO CONTRACTORS in Connecticut. Unbelievable. Then the guy handling our claim would only do a virtual visit via iPhone. How lazy. Then he said his had to inform the 'claims team'. No call back, no contact. We called him back, and he said "I'm going on vacation for 2 weeks". No call after 2 weeks. Called him. He said "They denied the claim." We had already had the French door taken out and replace with a wall. DO NOT USE Travelers Insurance Company. So horrible.

Very deceptive. When I purchased homeowners insurance thru Travelers, I was told a rep would be by to take a photo of the front of my house. Was told it would be a 5-minute visit. The guy was here for 45 minutes snooping everywhere. Very intrusive. I've had homeowners insurance for nearly 50 years with various companies and have never had such a nosey home insurance inspection. Other negative experiences with Travelers, too much to mention here. I do not recommend Travelers Insurance.

My claim professional was Kent Williams in Cincinnati. He was super difficult to get a hold of and would take days to respond. He’d tell me that he’ll send the estimate on a certain day but he would not do or send anything at all. So for the most part during my claim process I was left in the dark thinking I have no help and not even sure that the insurance will pay me for my loss. Definitely not a situation you want to be in when you’re dealing with a loss or damage to your house.

I have no problem with Travelers claims, only the rates. I live in a small coastal town in Oregon. I'm 75 years old without any violations in the last 18 years. I have a 2004 auto worth around $5000. I drive under 3000 miles per year. In 2019 a neighbor backed a Uhaul truck into my Jeep that was legally parked at the Curb. My Jeep was totaled. Two days later she backed the same truck into my rental car doing nearly $4000 in damage. Again it was legally parked. She was arrested this time. Uhaul eventually repaid Travelers, but I lost my $500 deductible. Now my monthly Premium is $226.00 per month on a $5000 vehicle that I drive less than 3000 miles per year. I don't want to switch, but the price seem extremely high. I live on Social Security so this really hurts. I do carry full coverage with medical, but still it seems way high. Beware! Bad experience. Our vehicle was flooded while vacationing in Florida. We contacted their claims department and at first they denied coverage. They insisted that comprehensive coverage and rental coverage had been dropped when we moved from FL to TX, but we never lived in FL. Finally after 16 days we received a fair settlement on our car, but they declined to address our rental car expense claim. All that after being a customer for 16 years.
