Travelers Insurance billing process has changed, and NOT for the better! It is a complete mess, and NOW you get an international call center in South Africa to handle payments over the phone. I could hardly understand the person with whom I was connected, and I am extremely concerned about giving my credit card information to an international call center. I'm seriously thinking about going to an insurance broker next year to see what other (or better) choices I have as a consumer. I've had Travelers for years, but now I can confidently say TRAVELERS SUCKS!

I had Travelers auto insurance for Auto Insurance
I had Travelers auto insurance for almost three years now. My experience up until the past month was positive. I was able to file a claim if necessary fairly easily and had little issues. However, my experience with Travelers during my total loss claim was extremely frustrating. Communication throughout the process was inconsistent, and I often felt like I had to follow up repeatedly to get updates or answers to my questions especially when all was settled and I needed the funds transferred to my account. I also would have appreciated clearer communication about when my claim was transferred to the subrogation department, as I was not informed of the change and spent time trying to contact someone who was no longer handling my claim.
My interactions with Spencer Alexander Klein were not positive. I did not feel that my concerns were handled with the level of professionalism, responsiveness, or customer service I expected during an already stressful situation. I still have yet to hear back from Spencer with travelers and eventually had to have another agent step in after multiple emails, texts, phone calls, and voicemails went unanswered.

Travelers Insurance falls significantly…
Travelers Insurance falls significantly short when you need them most. Experiencing a catastrophic loss and dealing with their disorganized, disconnected departments—where representatives constantly pass the buck—makes the claims process agonizingly slow and frustrating, leaving you stranded in your own home for weeks on end.

It's a mixed bag with Travelers
It's a mixed bag with Travelers for actual damages to my vehicles they have been relatively good, fairly quick and didn't argue me about payout.
However when it comes to personal injuries and mental health issues from the only serious collision I've ever been in it has been like pulling teeth. My fiance had her claim approved eventually but I am still fighting over mine.
I would overall not recommend them.

First claim in my life that's stressful and frustrating experience
This was my first insurance claim in my life after a hit-and-run by someone. The initial call went smoothly, and the representative helped set up the claim and mentioned nearby repair shops I can choose. I was told an adjuster would follow up. While the claim was set up quickly, the process itself turned into a stressful and frustrating experience for me.
When the adjuster contacted me, I was directed to use a specific repair shop, and the information I received was very limited. As a first-time claimant, I believed I had no choice and followed the instructions. Communication felt impersonal, and I didn't fully understand my options.
Only after I had already dropped off my car did I receive a letter explaining that I could choose any repair shop I trust. If I had known this earlier, I would have made a different decision. A shop I trust had estimated about 5 days and around $2,000, while the insurance-recommended shop took about 4 weeks, postponing week after week and cost over $5,000, using all of my rental coverage.
I'm sharing this experience to help others-especially those new to insurance claims-take time to understand your rights and options before making decisions. There is usually no rush, as claims can often be made withing a year.

Great at first, horrible in the long-term.
In the beginning, this company was fantastic. Got an amazingly cheap policy for my auto, my agent was very friendly. Couldn't be happier. Unfortunately, I had an accident (I was at fault) and my policy went up which is fair, and common. The problem is, when my claim was paid off, my insurance stayed the same. It didn't even go down a penny. When it was all said and done, it was nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone on the phone. Always had to play phone tag with agents.
I started shopping around for new insurance companies and got a good deal at Progressive. Of course, Travelers made it difficult to cancel on purpose. Had to call to cancel, the representative I spoke to was very rude and she felt annoyed to speak to me. Not only did I have to cancel through the app, but I also had to call, then email, and then e-sign some papers which took more than 24 hours to receive. It's almost as if they want me to forget about canceling so they can bill me twice.
My main issue with this company is the fact that they are nearly impossible to get ahold of, and are outrageous with pricing.

It was great to have the 900 for a rental for how many ever days, but half the time was spent waiting on their adjusters. I have had 3 accidents and none my fault: rear ended, animal, suspected drunk driver. They had me waiting on the side of the road for over 4 hours for the tow truck, which was coming from a location an 1.5 hours away that they got. Just getting the animal claim started took almost two weeks. I have yet to see my deductible back for the drink driver accident that happened Dec 2020, even though I keep being told they are and should have processed it. Plus, so far everything I've asked for an email notification they say sure no problem and then snail mail it. Yes I'm switching insurance and writing my reviews at different sites as I go.
