I have no problem with Travelers…
I have no problem with Travelers claims, only the rates. I live in a small coastal town in Oregon. I'm 75 years old without any violations in the last 18 years. I have a 2004 auto worth around $5000. I drive under 3000 miles per year. In 2019 a neighbor backed a Uhaul truck into my Jeep that was legally parked at the Curb. My Jeep was totaled. Two days later she backed the same truck into my rental car doing nearly $4000 in damage. Again it was legally parked. She was arrested this time. Uhaul eventually repaid Travelers, but I lost my $500 deductible. Now my monthly Premium is $226.00 per month on a $5000 vehicle that I drive less than 3000 miles per year. I don't want to switch, but the price seem extremely high. I live on Social Security so this really hurts. I do carry full coverage with medical, but still it seems way high.
