Where to begin. I've had Total wireless for several years now (circa 2016). Initially they were great. Then came TracFone, who bought Total around 2018. Immediately I noticed worsening cell reception, jacked up rates and the abandonment of wifi calling and hotspots. At least the website and CS was still good, as were rates. Eventually Hotspot was brought back in late 2019. Now that Verizon has gotten it's hands on TracFone and a whole slew of their subsidiaries (including Total wireless), Total has been a nightmare. My initial hint that things were going downhill was an increase in plan price. However within this last month, I've finally had it. I've been attempting to connect my brand new phone to their network for a while now. I've talked to CS multiple times, purchased a new sim, you name it, in attempt to connect my new device. On the supported devices menu, my IMEI is listed as compatible. Well after 10 days of issues, I final got an answer -- my brand new phone is not supported by the network. So I'm switching to Verizon proper. I'm not happy, but whatever. What's even more frustrating is what has happened the last two days. I want to port-out my number (this is to keep the number on a new carrier). You need your account number and have a transfer pin created. I need to sign into my account to check these (I'm not sure if my account is still my old phone's IMEI or not). Regardless, every time I attempt to use the website to login, it says that it's not available. For the last day, whenever I try to log in, I get this message. So I figured I'd try to text their help number. When I did so, it asked me if I wanted to transfer to another TracFone service or to a new carrier -- naturally I indicated that I needed a pin for a new carrier (Verizon). It then proceeded to ask me which TracFone service I wanted to transfer to. *sigh* All I'm try to do is get these two basic numbers to transfer to Verizon on a plan I've already prepaid. All I need is the digits for a port. It's not rocket science.

Bought Nokia Verizon phone as advertised with the 45$ Verizon refill card as the advertisement. Tried 2 days to switch my old sim card and my number. Reps got no where. Told me the Verizon refill card was wrong. Needed to be a total Verizon card Was told to take phone back and get a Verizon only phone. All this even though the phone showed it had the 45$ plan on already. Third day I tried again. Different lady rep who tried the same scenario. But somehow got her to put my 45$ card on. I got internet calling mobile data. The whole 9 yards now. Thanks to the representative.

I didn't have a choice to put no stars but that's what total Wireless would get for me is no stars because they are Crooks they stole my $40 plan that I had just put on my phone and they said I couldn't have it back because it's already been used well yes it was used because I put it on my reserve on my phone they are Crooks I wouldn't suggest even looking at these phones or the plans

Needs to be rated a NEGATIVE star. Terrible Service! Absolutely ridiculous! Agents reading straight from a screen and can’t answer any of your questions. Asked to speak to a manager and she said she can assure me that she can help! She kept repeating that multiple times after continuing asking for a manager because she got me nowhere! Stayed on the phone for what seemed like forever just to end up where I started. Definitely would not recommend spending any money with this company! RUN !!!!!! Definitely a scam since changing to total by Verizon!

Wow. Ripped off 23 days of service Total wireless to Total by Verizon refill plan. You claim same company but not compliant with service. Was told new total by Verizon is upgrade .. so - old service is canceled and have new service. WHAT - but you claim same. How much more money can you scam from your consumers? For Shame!

They refuse to fix my internet since i got the phone have to use wifi the whole time or it takes 3 hrs for 56mb. This isnt 4 g its 2g. They keep saying I found an issue in our system. And ask to schedule a call back. They call then let you sit on hold for 20 min before answering. Refused to allow me to get someone else or a supervisor. Asked how to unlock the phone and they send me a pin to keep the number I got from them. A hamster either has or uses their brain more. They lie and say they are trained for this
