Note that many parents come to us because the parental apps failed them. We hear you, and that’s exactly why we’ve put in the work to mitigate additional settings changes with every update, ensuring that loopholes and workarounds don’t undermine the purpose of the device. That said, we fully understand how frustrating it feels if the software doesn’t meet your expectations. While Wisephone is built on quality Samsung hardware, the real value is in WiseOS, the ongoing updates, security, and the carefully curated toolset we provide to ensure a distraction-free experience. Thank you for your feedback, Ren. We hear your concerns and want to clarify that Wisephone is designed to create a safe, intentional environment for teens, free from distractions and unsafe content. The subscription isn’t just for apps you could get elsewhere—it funds ongoing updates, security, and careful app curation to close loopholes and maintain safety. Our team is working on a more robust firewall to cover any gaps and reviewing reported apps to ensure nothing slips through. For now, the safest approach is to toggle the Tool Drawer off. Unlike full-featured smartphones, Wisephone protects users without monetizing their data or attention, giving families peace of mind while keeping costs low.

That multitasking button is intentionally disabled to help maintain intentional phone use and minimize distractions. For now, backing out of the app or using Device Care under System Settings will close background apps. We truly appreciate your insights and are glad Wisephone is serving you well in your life!

We get where you're coming from with the “smartphone” aspects. While Wisephone does leverage smartphone hardware to stay current, Wisephone II is meant to be simpler and more intentional than your average smartphone. That being said, we know it’s not the perfect fit for everyone. We appreciate your honesty and willingness to give it a shot, and we’re excited to hear you’re starting to enjoy it!
