Radio silence from customer service. Unable to port number. Beware.
This is the first 1 star review I have written in my life.
I am trying to switch away from Techless back to my old provider.
I have emailed the company three times and called customer service three times. I have gotten zero response. Not even an automated email.
I now have no way to sign in to my apple account, access other accounts, or get access to my old contacts.
I have friends and family who have reached out through my wife trying to see if I am okay.
Taking too long to port a number is one thing. Zero response is unacceptable.
I have left a complaint with the BBB and filed a complaint with the FCC.
Beware. Their customer service is abysmal.

Charles,
We’re truly sorry you had to contact us multiple times before receiving a response. You needed time-sensitive information to transfer your number, and we did not provide it as quickly as we should have.
Our support team has been working through an unexpected and unusually large increase in requests following a recent system update. Our agents have been working extended hours, and we are actively adding more people to the team to increase our capacity. This does not excuse the delay you experienced, but it is important context because this response time was abnormal and does not reflect the level of service we aim to provide.
We also want to be clear that we were not attempting to withhold your number or prevent you from transferring it. Our team has now provided the account information and porting PIN needed to complete the transfer.
We understand the urgency of your request and why the lack of a timely response was so frustrating. We sincerely apologize for the delay and the disruption it caused.

I don’t think I’ve ever left a one star…
I don’t think I’ve ever left a one star review, but I cannot stress enough how problematic this company is. Customer service that is unhelpful and never available. The whole company has less than 20 employees and no weekend or after hours support. That’s understandable for retail companies but not for a phone provider. You can’t get urgent assistance, period. Emails and chat messages often go several business days without a response. I’ve been trying to get my son’s phone (which I own) off of their platform and they’ve been holding it hostage for weeks now despite my cancelling service, providing conflicting information several times. They use Knox to lock down your device and disable factory reset so you’re at their mercy until they release it from their servers. Frankly this should be illegal.

Lindsay,
We’re sincerely sorry for the delays and conflicting information you experienced while trying to remove WiseOS from your son’s phone.
Our support team has been working through an unexpected and unusually large increase in requests following a recent system update. Our agents have been working extended hours, and we are actively adding more people to increase our support capacity. This does not excuse the time it took to address your request, but this response time was abnormal and does not reflect the service we aim to provide.
We also want to clarify that we were not holding the device hostage or intentionally preventing you from leaving our platform. Your request to remove WiseOS completely from your device has now been completed on our end. Once the device is reset, WiseOS and its restrictions should be fully removed, returning the phone to standard Android.
We understand why the lack of timely assistance left you feeling that you had no control over the device. We sincerely apologize for the frustration and for not completing this request sooner.

If I could give 0 stars I would
If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered the phone and decided to go a different route. When I received it, I didn’t open it but contacted them and immediately returned it within their return policy window. I verified they received the return. 10 days later I contacted them again to see where my refund was and they will not return my messages. They are responsive when you want to purchase but at this point I don’t know what I’m going to have to do to get my money back. Very disappointing

We’re sorry the refund took longer than expected and understand why the delay was frustrating.
Our team has remained responsive throughout the return process, and the unopened phone was received and processed in accordance with our return policy. The refund was issued.
While returns require time to be received, inspected, and processed, we recognize that clearer communication about the timing would have helped. We sincerely apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience while the return was completed.

Customer service is ridiculously slow
Customer service is ridiculously slow. I initially reached out to Wisephone for tech support on Sep 19 (emailed). I called on: 9/23, 9/28, 9/29, 9/30. I texted on 9/28 and 9/30. To be clear, I was reaching out every time because of the same issues with a brand new Wisephone—photos on Google maps were visible, Instagram (which shouldn’t have even been on the phone) allowed a workaround to access Google Play (which I had turned off in the Wisephone Portal). The responses I received from customer service lagged days behind some of the times I reached out for help. These issues, which were never fully resolved since tech support could not solve the issue, caused my son to be unable to use his new phone. As a matter of fact, I didn't realize there were such severe issues until I'd already given the phone to my son—using the workarounds, he spent hours accessing images he should've never seen. Afterwards, I realized the phone was not fully locked down and confiscated it.
I paid for a year-long phone plan from a cell carrier on 9/19, however, he has been unable to use his phone since 9/20. So, we are paying for a phone plan we cannot use. I was told by customer service to contact my cell carrier about this, however, I will not be doing that as this was not my cell carrier’s fault—the fault entirely lies with Wisephone. The slow response to customer requests, lags between customer service and tech support, and tech support's inability to fix this phone remotely have led to us paying for a cell plan which we have not been able to use for 12 days and counting.
Besides all that, I spent 3 hours on the phone with customer service trying to resolve this issue, and I spent lots more time trying to reset the phone, as instructed per the first email I received. Customer service offered me initially $10 as compensation for our WiseOS subscription for the first month—when I requested compensation for the cell plan we already purchased but haven't been able to use, my request was denied but the WiseOS-compensation amount was bumped up to $16. Thus far, I've received a refund of $14.99.
Before allowing my son to purchase Wisephone WITH HIS OWN MONEY, I looked into countless phones and watches to make sure he would be getting the best one for his money and needs. I have friends who are awaiting my feedback on my experience with Wisephone, as they are contemplating getting one for their children. I can assure you I will be honest with them about all the hassles I've experienced and the slow response time to my help requests. The issues with the phone we received from Wisephone were not resolved, and I've been assured a new phone is on the way, although the assurance of the $16 refund didn't pan out, so I have my doubts that this will either. So, we continue to wait for a product my son paid top dollar for and we continue to be unable to use a cell plan he has already paid for and we have not received the entire compensation that we were promised. Overall, I am very dissatisfied.

We’re sincerely sorry for the delayed support and the experience your family had with Wisephone. You reached out several times about a serious concern, and our responses were slower than they should have been. We were working through an unusually large support backlog during this period, but we fully recognize that you needed timely help and clearer communication.
Wisephone is designed to provide a healthier, more intentional phone experience while still allowing certain useful apps. The workarounds and image access you discovered were not the intended experience. We appreciate the time you spent helping our team understand and investigate them. We identified the issue involving photos within Maps and are releasing a targeted fix.
Because we were unable to resolve everything remotely, we overnighted a replacement phone to you. We also refunded the first month of WiseOS service. We understand that neither action gives back the time you spent troubleshooting or eliminates the disruption caused while your son was unable to use the phone.
Thank you for continuing to work through this with us despite the frustration. We take the concerns you uncovered seriously and sincerely apologize that your family encountered them, especially during a period when our support response times were behind.

I have had this phone for about a year
I have had this phone for about a year, and for roughly 7–8 months of that time, it has been essentially unusable. I have now spent 20 days going back and forth with customer service trying to get the issue resolved. I’ve been blown off, given the runaround, and ultimately told that they could do nothing unless I repurchased a membership.
The most frustrating part? I did repurchase the membership nearly two weeks ago, specifically because I was told that was what was required to resolve the problem. I have reached out multiple times since then and have been completely ignored. So I paid again for a service I can’t use and still cannot get anyone to actually resolve the issue
And honestly, the customer service is especially disappointing given how heavily Wise Phone presents itself as a Christian company. If you are going to build your brand around Christianity and use the name of Jesus, I expect the way you treat customers to at least reflect basic “Christian” character. Instead, my experience has been the opposite. There is a huge difference between using Christian language and actually demonstrating the fruit of the Spirit in the way you conduct business.
At this point, the branding feels much more like marketing than something reflected in the actual customer experience.
And separate from all of that: the phone itself is not good. I have had repeated issues with it and have spent an absurd amount of time trying to get something I paid for to simply work.
I don't expect perfection from a company. I do expect a company to stand behind its product, communicate with its customers, and actually attempt to resolve problems especially after taking additional money from someone for the very service they were told would fix the problem.
After this experience, I cannot recommend Wise Phone.

We are deeply sorry. After seeing this review and investigating further, we found that your support ticket remained open without a response after your last message. You had already followed our instructions, repurchased the required subscription, and waited far too long for the help you were promised. That should never have happened, and the responsibility is ours.
We understand why this experience caused you to question not only our customer service, but whether our actions reflect the values we communicate as a company. We did not demonstrate those values well in the way your case was handled, and we sincerely apologize.
We have refunded both subscription charges and are contacting you directly to ensure your Wisephone is restored and working properly. We are also reviewing how your ticket was missed so we can address the failure internally.
You should not have needed to post a public review to receive the help you had already requested. We are grateful that you brought this to our attention, but we are truly sorry it took this long for us to recognize and correct it.

My Wisephone is a brick and the company has ghosted me
I ordered a Wisephone as an upgrade to my current dumb phone. I tried to activate it on Saturday 6/20. I attempted to port over my existing phone number from my current carrier and paid for an eSIM card with Techless on the website. I tried to activate this same account on my phone and it failed to recognize my account in any way I could try. I waited through the weekend for the number to port and the eSIM to activate but nothing... both my phones are bricks. I tried getting ahold of the company for support and on the website they just have an AI agent that just takes down your details and creates a ticket. It's now Tuesday and am still without a phone. I've submitted multiple tickets, I've tried calling, emailing.... anything I can think of and I can't get anyone to respond!! I don't even think I can reactivate my old phone number because the port hasn't gone through. I understand that there can be tech problems... that's normal. What infuriates me is that I cannot reach ANYONE at this company to help with the exception of this AI chat bot on their site that just runs me around in circles. GOING WITH THIS COMPANY IS A RISK.

Will not give you a full refund
The phone seems pretty great, just wasn't right for me. My complaint is that they told me I would get a full refund if I returned the phone within the return period, but they charged me a $55 reboxing fee and then tacked on a $100 damage fee. I have spoken with multiple representatives asking them to send me photos of the damage, but they tell me they just can't, and that they go by what their warehouse tells them. It didn't seem right that I was charged for damages when I used the phone for 2 days, and returned it a few days later when they said I would receive a full refund. They got $155 from me for a phone I used 2 days, and made no effort to show me the damages when the phone I returned had no damage. I just feel like I was cheated out of $155.

These people lie and make their living…
These people lie and make their living off deception. The phone wasn’t compatible for me. I had it out of the box for a few minutes. I never activated it and I sealed it back up just like it was. It was pristine when I sent it back. On top of their restock fee they charged me $100 for damage. I called and messaged. A week later a “supervisor” called and couldn’t provide any pictures of the damage. He didn’t offer any help. I’m really dissatisfied.
