My wife and I were seeing different doctors; mine was late to the first and second appointment and prescribed me medicine that raised my blood pressure when I have high blood pressure, so I fired him.
The one my wife was seeing almost caused her to need actual detox from the levels of Cymbalta they prescribed (120mg!!! - NOT SAFE), and they messed her up; she's at least 5x worse than she was before speaking to these idiot doctors and now we're getting her proper care locally.
I wouldn't suggest you use these people at all. Find a local psychiatrist and just go. Don't waste time with these clowns.

“Specialist” was not a specialist, disorganized
I came to Talkiatry for an ADHD assessment. The psychiatrist that I was matched with didn’t understand late diagnoses, especially women who are often misdiagnosed with bipolar, depression, and/or anxiety. She admitted to seeing the symptoms, but blamed everything on an old diagnosis and referred me to therapy.
Talkiatry requires you to be under the care of a psychiatrist in order to be seen by a therapist. The psychiatrist that I’d seen said there was nothing else she could do for me. When a rep called to schedule a therapy appointment, I asked him about this requirement. He didn’t understand at first that the psychiatrist has basically discharged me, and I had to walk him through this problem step-by-step. I explained that I wanted to be matched with someone else for a second opinion.
Another problem - the new doc would be able to see notes from another doc. Absolutely no doctor is going to take a new client’s words over another psychiatrist. So this means that I cannot get a fair, unbiased second opinion through Talkiatry. Again, the rep needed some help in understanding this problem, but eventually said he’d try to find a way around it. I was on the phone for 20 minutes with this guy, explaining how pointless it would be to see a second psychiatrist if they can see the notes from the first.
No further communication except for an email - telling me I’m being matched with a new psychiatrist. And of course I only have 15 days once they find a match - I haven’t even received my first bill and they’re trying to pile more on.
Edit to Talkiatry’s reply - I’ve already spoken with a customer service rep, the same one that I spoke with in the above review. It resolved nothing.

Takes more than a week to refill medication
Horrible company. Just like others - it's impossible to get a hold of anyone, takes weeks to get a refill of a critical medication, the website scheduling page is horrendous, always have to call, then appointments disappear without a trace. It's a full-time job managing relationship with Talkiatry.

Serious Concerns
I had two appointments with a prescribing provider via the Talkiatry telehealth platform.
The doctor made an error when he sent my prescription to the pharmacy. Over the next couple of weeks, he apparently changed his mind three times about this prescription, repeatedly submitting and cancelling different versions and directly contradicting what he told me during my appointments. He also failed to notify me about these changes in treatment plan.
He blamed the pharmacy and insisted I switch, but 30 days after my appointment, after I had run out of meds and the second pharmacy was still waiting for info from Talkiatry, I gave up and went back to a local provider.
I also have serious privacy concerns regarding Talkiatry. Messages I wrote to my doctor were read and answered by people I had never met, and instead of replying to me directly, he repeatedly cc’d me on messages to Talkiatry staff, referring to me as “patient” or “pt.” Not a big deal, compared to possible HIPAA violations, but still a failure of common courtesy.
Finally, this doctor asked his staff to have “patient” (me) make (and pay for) an additional office visit, “due to the recent medication confusion.”
At the time I wondered if maybe Talkiatry was some kind of scam, but I think they’re just relying on a platform their providers are unfamiliar with and a staff who are woefully undertrained. I hope anyone reading this will be very careful about trusting their care to a Talkiatry provider.
Re: Talkiatry’s reply… you responded ad nauseam, but never resolved the issue.

I would provide zero stars if I could
I would provide zero stars if I could. You cannot contact your provider directly. So you’re placed on talk center answering systems in India where they can’t to anything.
A refill an change in education takes 10 days to reach the doctors desk. What a terrible service

Horrible process and experience
Horrible process and experience. I used BetterHelp in the past and wanted to give this platform a shot.
I had only an intro 45-minute session with a very uninterested Dr. who would not even look into the camera, which was a wide shot of his office... Sadly, it was decided that he could not help me and my situation in a remote environment. For nearly a month, there was no further contact from Talkiatry. Only until my insurance EOB arrived was I shocked. OVER $1K billed for a 45min Zoom-like session??? Wow, this is what is wrong with the healthcare system. Nowhere was I shown the pre-cost. This is such a ripoff, so do not use this service. Melvin from Bililng just says: "Please reach out to your insurance provider if you need further clarification regarding your benefits. Thank you!"... such bull...

My experience was wonderful when I…
My experience was wonderful when I lived in Nashville, but when I moved to Denver several months ago things completely changed. I had to switch providers and it all went downhill. My provider via Denver was late to every appt. I pay a lot of money and this is unacceptable as I would have been charged the full amount and she would have left the televisit if I was over 7 min late. Furthermore, I brought that to her attention and she hung up in my face, charged me for the appt, and Talkiatry told me that I couldn’t be seen anymore. It’s bizarre how clients are treated this way and the providers do whatever they want. GO ELSEWHERE FOR Psychiatric Care unless you enjoy being treated like a paycheck.

I love my psychiatrist
I love my psychiatrist. She has helped me in so many ways. I have been seeing her on line for almost a year. We have finally been able to find a medication to help me. She listens and understands my issues and often explains why I may be feeling the way that I do at the time.
