Second encounter with Mr. Hooper. He was at window #8 and he was very unprofessional and childish. SSA needs to dismiss him ASAP. SSA needs to hire people that truly want to help the community. Not someone who loves messing around with clients nor coworkers. He is just there to collect a paycheck and demean people.

impossible to reach from abroad. they have a dedicated telephone line but interrupt the connection after 20 minutes on hold. i haven't heard back when writing by email either. the reason i need to contact them is because they must have some glitch which prevents access via id.me (loss of access came after applying for benefits). the benefits units seem fine, based on my early experience

Reflection: In 1980, the average price of a house was $45,000.00 and the average salary was $21,000.00. Now, the average price of that same house is $450,000.00 and the average salary is $34,000.00. Conclusion: In 1980, the housing cost-to-salary ratio was approximately 2 to 1; now it's approximately 10 to 1. What will Congress and the government do to improve this ratio?

Signup process fails after trying to take my picture. Completely invasive process. One of their suggestions was to unlock your credit lock if you have one!!!! WOW!! Security is one thing, but this is process is right out of the Dark Ages.

I have talked with numerous SSI employees and not one has been kind! In looking at the reviews, why is nothing being done to improve the service? It is absolutely horrible...everyone I have talked to has been rude! I had to tell her I was on my way to dementia to get her to work with me!

They over-regulate themselves. Inundated, over-worked, they attempt to regulate themselves and wind up bogging down. In over 4 hours effort, I couldn’t get them to do 10 minutes work, duplicate copy of card. And when I did go in to try it in person, they spent 20’ n told me to return for an appointment another day. When I did, the job only took 5 minutes. Can’t get out of their own way, create their own obstructions.
