I keep trying to bid on items only to be told my bidding has been suspended. Customer service got back to me telling me that I have multiple accounts open on the same email (I do not) and that I should use one of them. They close their tickets without solving any issues

Just placed a bid on a pair of sneakers. 1 minute before bid ending time AND I know my bid amount outbid the others HOWEVER this new crappy upgrade just kept loading pass the end time and my bid never went through. Shoes sold for a lesser price than they could have sold for. Shopgoodwill new updated site is terrible for shoppers but now I’m thinking it’s also bad for them as well. Might as well go back to EBay

Manipulation of auction process
I agree with most of these reviews, both good and bad.
HOWEVER, as I’ve started noticing an odd trend that I want to make users aware of. When bidding on higher end watches or things with a “ name brand” I’ve noticed a remarkable trend of “ anonymous ” bidders who bid these items up to about 80% of value.
Test it out yourself, it’s odd. Then I’ve seen these SAME exact items months later up for bud AGAIN! Meaning a very specific Rolex up for auction with little clarity on working and authentication, but bud up to 80-90% of value in secondary market. THEN a few weeks ( or months) later the same watch appears back up for auction??????
I feel there is some serious manipulation going on with this site.
All in all, I found going to EBay a better place to shop and get authentic items where you can actually communicate with the sellers!

Use Caution - Research Before Buy
Use A LOT of caution.
I made purchases with the notion it's going for a good cause. When I consider all things, it feels more like I was taken to the cleaners. In some of my purchases (over 50) value was not there when it arrived. I spent a lot of money on this site. Hits home when I consider just how much money I "donated" & how poorly they handle issues originating on their end. I am not a wealthy person.
Items can be in worse condition than pictured. I've bought some items where they hid issues or don't describe them. They say look at the pictures. Well, you have to photograph items in the proper way to accurately capture item. Some sellers do a great job, others don't. Example, I bought a hoodie & there was a very noticeable hole in the back. They had to have seen it. I saw it as I took it out of the box. It didn't happen in shipping due to how it was folded/wrapped. No picture showed this, nor in the description. In one picture, where the hole should have been view-able, the material appears to be gathered & so the hole does not show. Accident or on purpose? It showed what appeared to be a new w/tags hoodie & a price for an item that shouldn't have had a hole.
Some items have been as described, a couple possibly even better.
Not all items get multiple bids & some are Buy It Now. Each always has a starting bid, normally on the high side.
Keep in mind, they get this stuff donated usually because the donor no longer has use for it. Some items have further use, others have none or don't have much more use left.
Items are clearly described as used but not always priced as used. Giving a false sense of bidding security. New in box, new with tags, does not mean its worth the equivalent of a new retail price or even half of it if you cannot ensure that. It doesn't mean it has all the parts or it wasn't on a shelf before it was donated because it didn't work. Sometimes, some sellers will even tell you it's stained, cracked, chipped, etc. but the price does not reflect such usage. A couple of times I found items were priced higher than new. Not collectible/special/etc. You cant return to these people if it doesn't work without a 10% restocking fee, paying all shipping costs & that's only a maybe for a return.
Probably just a me thing, but if Im going to high price an item, it will be worth it. Not high priced with warnings it might not be worth it. You'll even see $1 yard sale stickers on items, priced 2x 3x 4x that.
I've gotten suckered into a few items that absolutely didn't work, were damaged, etc. but priced as if they should be in a better condition. My mistake, well learned. I'm an idiot - warning you to not be me.
Do a web search for the item you are thinking about buying. You'll probably be surprised!
I know shipping services are changing, but there are some who must be fudging shipping because nearly same weight, size, destination, & prices can be significantly different between sellers. Always check shipping costs before bidding! Always!
In my case shipping & handling was often equal to or greater than cost of item purchased. So to attempt return? Garbage is cheaper.
Granted there are costs to ship items. Some are high-priced. If you're maxing out item start price & tacking on high handling - greed never did anyone any good. I will say the only thing I can commend the entire group of sellers on is - their packaging of items. A+ However, if I pay $5 plus tax for a used box, I would expect it to be packed perfectly.
I understand the need & drive to make money, but items other than diamonds, gold, designer top-end items, etc & items that are truly worth a minimum amount should be given a reasonable starting price (reasonable - these are USED items so priced not considering its current, brand new, actually works retail value) & let the bidding begin. Put a reserve price if necessary & clearly state if price does not exceed this amount, item may be re-auctioned. I believe in most cases, more money would be raised (bidding can get wild & crazy). I think fewer people like me would be turning away from the site feeling like I could be using one I bought new that worked for a total of $5 more & not tossing into garbage & now I can't afford one.
Somewhere along the way, they have left the most important aspects behind & grabbed hold of the money train with clenched fists.
They've taken away the ability for most of us to find & check out good used items. Seems good stuff donated here goes to central facilities miles away to list online. None of the 6 stores Ive been to near here have jewelry or anything of any value. Lots of clothes, bedding, books, DVDs, & stuff that wouldn't sell online. No more 'omg look what I found' items. I used to love shopping in the stores, online too, but not as much. Now yard sales offer much better things again (cheaper too lol w/$1 items) unless you need clothes, furniture, etc.

Goodwill online shopping is a scam…
This new Goodwill online shopping is horrible. I purchased many many items. There is a big difference when it says like new condition and when you receive it it is filthy nasty and dirty, I purchased Timberland boots that were counterfeit, there is too much false advertising. They need to go back and put it in the store and try to sell it for $2.99. The way they figure the shipping cost is ridiculous and cheating the customer. I purchased socks that weighed a little over a pound they charge me for an item weighing 9 lb. This online Goodwill shopping is even worse then the stores. Yes Goodwill is helping people the CEOs fill their pockets.

Horrible new website!
Always been happy with items, however, the new website is frustratingly horrible!
Half the time, even SHW categorized items will come up as none found in the search, when there are actually hundreds available.
The old site was so much easier and pleasant.
Whomever chose the new platform did not chose wisely. It stinks!
