BUYER BEWARE....I bid on several items. I have no complaints about the bidding process. I won the items I wanted for reasonable price which were hardcover books, however, my opinion is shipping is over priced AND POORLY ORGANIZED. So if they're going to over charge for shipping you would think that you would get the service you pay for. Not the case. The process is very deceiving. You get an email saying you won the bid and make your payment.... great! I immediately paid my invoice. You get an email saying your invoice was PAID (credit card is charged) and your item will be shipped...great! But it seems once you've paid for your item the break up in communication begins. I did receive emails from Fedx for my item saying my shipment is on its way. I'm actually supposed to be receiving it today (four days later which would be great.) Not happening. According to FedX my shipment label was created by Goodwill but Goodwill does not have it ready for shipment so Goodwill in Jacksonville Florida has made no effort to get my package out of their warehouse, yet they have taken my money. Total cost for one used hard cover book... $21. I sent a message to them two days ago and still no response. You think you're doing a good thing by buying from an organization like GOODWILL... but there is no good will with this company. I'll stick to getting my used books from Amazon for under $10.00 and immediate delivery. Take notice that Goodwill has no review section on there website. That alone says BUYER BEWARE!

Any “bargain” you find will, likely be negated by the preposterously high shipping costs and handling fees. Great stuff, overall, but be sure to search elsewhere for the item you’re interested in before hitting the “buy it now” button. Online resale is HUGE - so I don’t think it will be too much longer before shopgoodwill.com becomes more in line with the shipping/handling costs of its major competitors.

I loved this site. I was buying hundreds of dollars in things from this website for months. I loved it with all my heart. Well one round of auctions I wasnt fast enough in paying for, as I was waiting for the last auctions to end. Now also mind you these goodwills across the country were as slow as molasses in mailing out your winning items. No sense of urgency and not in any hurry. However the customer is not held to the same protocol. Nope I speak from experience, they will close your account and bar you and your address and payment information and IP address as fast as they can. They will find out that it is you no matter what extent you go. If you have a roommate open an account and he wins a few auctions and then the address flags.. well he is suspended and banned too. If your family has a good will auction account and they win and mail you an item they won and paid for, as a gift they will ban and bar them. Dont sent them any emails they will either not respond to any valid and amiable correspondence. They wont treat you with any open minded and kind approach or any kind of problem solving customer service. They wont allow you to rectify your wrongs they will just bar you and tell you to refresh your memory on the user agreement and understand that those are the rules. Now look I didnt have some long impossible list of won auctions falling into dereliction. I had about 5 total and they spanked over about 9 days the first few at the 1st day a d the last couple at the ninth day and I flaked the 9th day and went to pay on the 10th or 11th day. I wasnt a serial bidder that never paid. I was a repeat customer with thousands of my dollars already spent here and a good track record. I was buying items that they happened to get for free mind you. As I have and I am sure you have donated many thousands in items to this business. This doesnt make my responsibility any less urgent and duty bound. However when your business success relies on the public and their kind and generous nature and they send several emails and cant so much as be troubled to reach back to me and have a decent and respectable discussion on the matter and help us find a common ground and let me rectify and handle my duty to pay for my won auctions. I feel like there is a problem. I'm not asking for the rules to be bent and I a not asking for any special accolades but when I am trying to take care of what I did already owe for.. the standing balance.. at least let me pay my debt and move along. It's not like their shipping this stuff out in way that denotes a sense of urgency. I'm just soured at how rude and nasty a company that runs on our donations and gives an air of taking care of the community and helping those who need it.. then this is how they treat someone. I dont know seems a little indistinct of that repertoire; contradictory.. insensitive and unreasonable. But finally I can be happy again I found out and am happy to announce salvation army has auctions.. finally! Although.not a soul wanted to elevate this issue and help us meet common ground. Nobody wanted to demonstrate any form of customer service or allow me to settle my debt, as I habitually had on time.. i solved my own problem and I will no longer be donating or telling anyone about the auctions and I no longer will donate volunteer participate and purchase anything affiliate or to benefit the goodwill ever again. Furthermore I vow to tell anyone and everyone about my experience and hope that they are a lot more calculated I where they donate their goods and dollars.. I am a human being and I deserve to be at least treated with the dignity we all would hope to receive from a company that says they are helping.

It can be fun to participate in auctions. Most Goodwill auctions have some nice items. Much of the clothing is New With Tags, but if it doesn’t sell, it just circles back again. You will see it later, if you watch long enough. Beware of HIGH shipping weights. I have seen items listed as weighing a few pounds, but shipping weights are 10 pounds or more. This will add a much higher cost to the auction amount. I saw a neat framed painting, bid amount was at about $10, it weighed 3 lbs, but shipping weight was so high the shipping cost was over $47! A few extra pounds for box and packing material is acceptable, but wow. Most of the money goes to a good cause, so just be cautious and have fun!

I ordered two things on here so far! Both items where good very good prices, and shipping was quick. I recommend shopping on here if you like to look for good quality second hand finds for low prices!

I have never shopped on Goodwill online. I love shopping in location at Goodwill! You never know what you'll get! I have had a wonderful experience at a Goodwill store, and I got 2 sweaters for around $6-$7! I would recommend this to anybody.
