Two days earlier I submitted a review…
Two days earlier I submitted a review on Shelter Logic and I promised a follow up on my customer service experience. Here it is. So I received an email saying my case was closed. Then S.L. read my earlier review and asked for an inventory of damaged parts to replace saying that when their units “have an accident” usually many of the poles are not damaged. I asked if my case was opened again. L.S. stated they began expediting my case and upon further review discovered “this has been determined to be an Act of Nature (snow) and the warranty is not approved as the unit you purchased is not wind or snow rated.” I was offered a 30% discount off a new unit. So to sum up all the communications, I was offered a new cover, was told my case was closed, then told the case was reopened to replace poles, and finally told that they, their employees, didn’t know that my warranty did not cover snow damage but I could buy a discounted replacement. So beware. Those Shelter Logic garages have collapsed as they acknowledged to me. Mine did. Make sure you read the warranty if you buy one.

Hello David, We are sorry you feel this way. Our warranty process provides us with enough information to review every claim fairly and consistently. We were able to pull up your warranty claim, and based on the model number to your Shelter, it states it's a temporary unit and not rated for wind or snow. This being the case, we cannot, in good conscious, replace your unit but our warranty department did offer a fair option for you to be able to replace the parts needed. If you are using this for a more permanent application, we do offer wind and snow-rated Shelters, which may better suit your needs. If you would like to discuss this in more detail, please feel free to call us at 1-800-560-8383. Thank you
