I've been trying to get a therapist through Rula since February, since Kaiser doesn't prioritize mental health services and is outsourcing to anyone, anywhere to take the burden off their hands. The first therapist I chose had one session with me and cancelled the next one because she was "moving". This is a remote job, but okay... whatever. The second therapist I chose got a back injury after the second session and cancelled the next three until I gave up waiting for her. Listen, for those of us who have real mental disorders recounting horrible trauma is not easy for us. If you're not ready to do the job don't say you're qualified to work with ptsd, or sexual abuse, or personality disorders. Just don't put it on your profile to flex. Going through a session or two just to get abandoned is gut wrenching, and it happens a lot more than you would expect. My third therapist is doing great so far, but I don't know if it was worth the waste of time. Are these folks being seriously vetted at all for what they claim to be able to treat on their profile? Do they have demonstrated experience in that area? Maybe making a site for therapists to side-hustle psych advice isn't such a great idea.

I’ve had two therapist cancel on me 3 times in the past month, while still being charged for the session. Communication with the support team is just as bad , with passing the phone around different team members with the same result

I was initially skeptical and thought of giving it a shot but so far my experience is fine and I don't have any complaints. Would recommend to family and friends.

I have a plethora of physical and mental health issues that have caused me to malfunction. There’s always a fit with regards to relationships. This has been a great fit. I’m making slow progress due to ongoing health issues but without my therapist I doubt I’d be open to moving forward in treatment. I feel validated by my therapist when many have not listened to my concerns and needs. As a black man therapy hasn’t always been viewed as acceptable. Now I cannot imagine being a healthy individual without the intervention of mental health treatment. This is all due to my current therapist.

The registration process was so easy. There were several options for clinicians available for my mental health needs. The technology is made very easy to effectively provide access. My specialist is very qualified and effective
