This company is hot or miss like any other but I was finally, after 3 different psychiatrists, able to connect with an amazing doctor. Jacqueline Constantino is an angel. She literally saved my life. She is kind, open minded, non judgmental and she listened to me. She is insightful and very much an actual lifesaver. I will follow her wherever she is. Now don't go and book all of her open appointments on me, but I am happy to share her brilliant mind with those in need of real help. If I was rating her it would be a 1000000 star rating. But the other doctors I had to get through to get to her were horrible.

A Corporate Mental Health Model That Prioritizes Control Over Care
As a licensed clinician, my experience with this platform has been deeply disappointing. The infrastructure is built around surveillance, billing metrics, and control - not care, not clinical integrity, and certainly not the therapeutic relationship.
Session times are tracked down to the second. If a client disconnects early (even when the therapist is present, prepared, and engaged) the session may still be marked “non-billable,” resulting in $0 compensation. When I inquired about this, it took an unreasonably delayed and curt response from admin to even receive clarification.
Documentation demands are excessive and often feel more oriented toward satisfying insurance systems than supporting meaningful clinical work.
Therapists are expected to repeatedly “justify” the use of symptom screeners in session notes, even when those tools aren’t clinically relevant.
There's also a client-facing rating system that mirrors gig economy platforms, flattening the complexity of therapy into simplistic, transactional feedback.
Behind the scenes, administrative communication has been unprofessional and dismissive, particularly when valid concerns are raised. Despite its branding as care-centered, the platform often operates in ways that feel extractive, rigid, and misaligned with the ethos of mental health work.
Therapists are not gig workers. Clients are not datapoints. What’s being offered here is therapy repackaged as a tech product - shiny on the surface, but hollow in practice.

The Providers with Rula have walked…
The Providers with Rula have walked with me through quite abit. Trial and error with some things but have supported my needs every step of the way.

This company is very good.
This company is very good.. They have picked the perfect therapist for me and my situation. They have made it very easy for me to connect for my appointments, which is important because I am very computer illiterate..

Absolute TRASH
Absolute TRASH. My provider was fine the first few sessions. Then she had internet issues and I couldn't hear what she was saying (though I was charged anyway). The next session, she no showed. I was charged, went through a LONG process of getting a refund. That was in April of 2025. January 2nd 2026, I was charged another $150 by Rula. Two days of arguing with customer service telling them I haven't had anything to do with Rula since last April. They insist they just charged me for an appointment I had in October. I had no such appointment. SO now I've wasted hours of my life, and had to initiate a dispute through my credit card company. There's no way for a consumer to delete their own profile or cc information - so you just have to expect they'll charge you randomly, then say it's for service you never received.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

A superb online mental health platform
With Rula you can choose from a wide selection of online therapists and psychiatric providers for flexible appointment times (even including weekends). I have had three excellent therapists through Rula over the years and have benefited greatly for my mental health. Polite customer service reps are available for billing support or to help you choose a provider as well.

Our provider is exceptional
Our provider is exceptional! The online accessibility to sessions makes it feel so much easier to manage. The flexibility when something comes up is very beneficial. My 6 year old is able to do sessions online and when he is getting off course, she finds a different activity to do with him or if need be, is able to wrap up the session. Very happy with the service we have been provided.
