I placed two separate orders for Christmas via the holiday deals, USPS read the address on both packages incorrectly and labeled them "Return to Sender," so now Rightstuf is charging me two separate reshipping fees, two separate restocking fees, and will not simply resend my items to another address, with the rep on the phone telling me to either reorder at full price or simply wait for another sale. I'm never ordering anything from this company ever again.

Definitly not recommend if you live inside the EU. The first order was fast and ok. However for the second order, my package got returned. They said the shipping company sent it back because the address was insufficient(why did it work the first time and why didn´t they provide any proof?). After ~ 3 months I finally got my money back(thanks to PP!). However they did not refund the shipping fee, saying that it is my job to get the money from the shipping company. I wrote them 3 times that I cannot do that since they have the contract with the shipping service, however they kept ignoring this fact. I opened a Paypal case and they threatened to close my Account and ultimately they did it.

Rightstufanime is my Go-to manga shop. There are no physical or online stores in my country to buy manga from so I always use Rightstufanime. The delivery is always fast, and they have the best packaging I have ever seen. The prices are always great and on top of that, there is always a sale. I highly recommend Rightstufanime if you are buying from outside the US.

Terrible customer service. I've been a customer with them for a long time, but if you ever have a mailing issue they will not help you in the slightest, even if you paid for insurance.

So I've ordered from right stuff 3 times now, first time everything came in fine, second time two of the 3 books I've ordered were yellowing from lack of book care and the bluray I ordered came a bit damaged but I let it go. Now I ordered a big purchase of $130, it's about to be 2 weeks now and it's been stuck in transit without change to the tracking information since last monday. I have heard of horror stories of people having to wait a month or two before or that in the process their goods are damaged and rightstuf has refused to do a complete refund and will make you pay for the return if anything comes in damaged. I do not want that experience, so let's hope for the best. I will update later about this issue.

As a first time customer I would recommend to shop somewhere else. They pride themselves on credit card security but it’s to the point of being really customer unfriendly. It’s the only company I’ve ever tried to purchase something from that needed me to verify my credit card information and address. If you live in a country where your address isn’t listed on your ID you will need to send in a bill or a bank statement. I did send in a partial photo of a bill for my home insurance with my address on it but not sure if the order was cancelled because they didn’t understand what it was or because they wrote to me on a really bad day and I answered them a bit bluntly. Edit: Had this review at a 1-star rating but now it seems my cancelled order was due to an automated process and it may go through after all. I’ll come back once more and edit it a final time after this is resolved one way or another. Initial order information said 10-14 days so if it goes through I’ll wait until the package has arrived.

Good customer service and great deals on new anime/manga/light novels. For the very best discounts, invest in a "Got Anime" membership that tacks on up to an extra 10% off prices on the site. If you order a lot of things, those savings will add up and easily make up for the cost of the membership, which is currently $18/year. These days, anime, manga, and light novels aren't all that cheap. Even if it may cost slightly more to buy from Rightstuf versus Amazon or Barnes & Noble, you can at least know that your items will not be damaged in transit because they actually put time into packing your merchandise. I've had many books mangled due to poor packing from Amazon, and Barnes & Noble (who you'd think would put more effort in, considering they specialize in selling... books). The one time I received a destroyed package from Rightstuf, out of dozens of orders, I contacted customer service and was issued replacements.

Love their careful packaging and some sales events are really quite a steal. Customer service is usually pretty quick to respond, and the one time a book was damaged a bit the customer service rep created a new order under my account so they could replace the book for me free of charge. The thing that made me subtract a star is their "out of stock, coming soon" manga...can take anywhere from a few weeks to even a few months to come back in stock, and no information given to you in the meantime as you wait indefinitely. I ended up canceling one such order and requesting a refund, which was somehow not given to me automatically.
